I have been so busy reading. I am on book 4 in the Sookie series. My brother sent me a late Christmas present so I was able to go out and buy the whole series. I am really enjoying them now. Are any of you having bitter cold in your part of the country? It is so cold here the high is 4 or 5 today, plus we have wind chills of -40. My dd is so tired of being inside all the time. I need to move to a warmer climate. Who's with me?

Yes she LOVES the outside. she would live outside of I let her. She keeps asking me to put her pool up so she can swim.

Yes on some days when she is really persistent I just fill up the tub and she "swims" in there.

What part of Nebraska are you in? My dad's family was from Fremont and I still have a cousin that lives near there!

It's bitter cold here for us. 32 as the high tomorrow and 16 for the low. That's cold, cold, cold for us!

I agree -- I feel like I live in the arctic even though it's not near as cold here.

Yesterday we were walking to the car and Connor asked her some question -- I don't remember what it was, but the rest of the conversation went like this:

Chelsea: Well, her boyfriend has ripped her heart out.
Connor (knowing Edward is a vampire): (I kid you not -- that was his exact expression -- pure shock).
Chelsea: Not literally, Connor (eye-rolling), figuratively. Mom, I just love how Bella describes how she is feeling.

Tonight she watched the movie trailer "ten gazillion times" (those were her words). I think I may need to take her to the movies this weekend.

Anyway, on Tuesday I ended up uploading a ton of photos for my mom. So honestly, other than work, yesterday I had no desire to even look at a computer when I got home. As a matter of fact, I didn't, I just read.

Has anyone read The Relic? It was made into a movie quite some time ago, but the book is much better. I just started reading The Book of the Dead, which is co-authored by the same men, and it's really captured my attention! CP, I thought of you immediately because of all the references to Egyptology.

Good morning, TK! about the Charlie's Angels!

I have read those books -- I think I have read most of them except the latest one, "The Wheel of Darkness." I devoured them a couple of summers back poolside -- my favorite one was Relic -- nothing like a supernatural beasty stalking the halls of the Museum of Natural History.

Thunderhead is a stand-alone by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and I really liked that one, too -- it's set out in the American Southwest.

I can't stop laughing about it. I really think we should make students stay home tomorrow since it will be so cold and so many have to stand outside waiting on the bus. We wouldn't want our nurse to have to deal with cases of frostbite.
