Any recent experiences at US/IOA? I am 5ft 6in about 265, most of weight is in middle, I am not worried about anything at Disney but I am getting very worried about our one US day.

I was there in January - I'm 5'6, 220 and hold most of my weight in the stomach and upper body.

I rode the rides below and fit in all of them. The High in the sky Trolley was the tightest fit. I rode Forbidden Journey 3X and I think one of the seats was larger than the others - I'm not sure which one.

Jurassic Park River Adventure
Pteranodon Flyers
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
Dragon Challenge
Flight of the Hippogriff
The Cat in the Hat Ride
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride

I am a couple inches shorter and about 20lbs heavier... we went to US/IOA last Sept. the only thing that I really wanted to ride but couldn't was the Harry Potter ride... I was able to fit on the mummy (which surprised me) but I honestly didn't try many of the high action rides anyway.

What is everyone's experience with Expedition Everest? I fit on it last time we were there in 2010, but now I am starting to get anxious feelings and can't remember how it worked. I think it went down over your legs, but my thighs are pretty big so I am starting to worry.

I am actually starting to get to the point that the high action rides are too much for me (had some issues after riding SM last year) so skipped EE last year, but rode it the year before... no problems fitting in. You shouldn't have any problems

Thanks everyone! From the way the lap bar looks if nothing else I can make my legs fit in then just squeeze in once the bar is down!

Any experiences with the coasters?

Hi kdkbrebel!

Wanted to let you know that as a pooh sized girl this past August, I was able to fit extremely comfortably on all of the coasters at WDW.

* Expedition Everest was more roomy than I thought...I have large thighs and was able to fit well!
* Space Mountain was a smaller seat but was easy to get into and fit...getting out was a little tricky.
* Big Thunder Mountain had no worries with this one.
* Splash Mountain was another easy fit, I was nervous about the lap bars but they are mostly there to keep you from standing up during the ride, not to prevent larger riders.
* Rock'n Rollercoaster was also a good fit...it was kind of weird getting out though for some reason..it dips down low.

Any other questions...please ask!

Thanks for the replies. I am worried about the coasters on the dark side? any experience with Hulk, rip ride rocket, those types?

Unfortunately I do not. Out of what I heard they are more strict with their seating, some coasters do have modified seating which could be helpful, but I am no expert at Universal, sorry!

Hi. I was wondering if any pooh sized people had any trouble with the seats at cirque du soleil?

It was like a regular theater seat. I fit, but my hips we a little squished. I had read on here that if you can get an isle seat, the arm rests lift, so that's what edid and I was so much more comfortable! But I would have fit without that though.

The Hulk has 2 rows I believe that have modified seating. The last time I rode it (at 5'6" and 265 lbs) I had no issues fitting in the modified seating. I've never done the Rip Ride Rocket. No issues w/Mummy either.

Thank you. We are thinking of going with people we don't know really well and I don't want to be embarrassed.

does body glide really work to keep from chaffing in those girl parts?

It has been for me. I don't chafe as seriously as I develop these knots from my thighs touching and if I use it I don't have this issue. I also put it all around my feet to avoid any irritation from rubbing.

Absolutely a life saver for my legs!!!! Not to mention no blisters our last trip when using this!

Hi,

I tried looking up more specific information but I was wondering if anyone did try the chairs at the Sum of All Thrills and if they did or did not fit. I thought it sounded like a great ride but I am not sure if I will fit being Pooh sized so will definitely try the test chairs first but also wanted to hear from others so I am more prepared.

Thanks!

I posted about this earlier in this thread, but basically I could ride but it was tight. I am a size 18/20 and had to wiggle into the seat. I posted a photo in my earlier post as well.

I will see if I can find the post.

:thumbsup2

Wow! I can't begin to tell you what a God send this thread is to me!! I'm also a Pooh sized adult and have been very apprehensive about going back to Disney.

Before my serious health issues caused me to gain some extra weight, I wasn't afraid to go on anything because of my weight. Now however, I was worried that I wouldn't fit on my most beloved rides.

I'm 5'9" and 296 pounds. I've gotten some great hints and tips from reading this thread. I started at the beginning and can't believe that I never knew of the no riders and the body glide. That is going to be a lifesaver!

It's wonderful to know that there are other Pooh sized people out there. I know that there are, but to see others post about their experiences on rides and in the restaurants makes me realize that I'm not alone. I know this may sound silly, but I actually cried when I read some of the posts because I realized that I'm not alone.

My DH is great about the extra weight, but sometimes I feel so alone and it's truly wonderful to have "friends" here that understand.

I'm looking forward to getting to meet you guys and learn some tricks and tips before our upcoming trip.

:goodvibes

Thanks! I did see that post and it was helpful. I am not an 18/20 and a little bigger so was wondering if there was a cut off size for it or above x size you will not fit.

Thanks again.
