“This is super fantastic now isn’t it?” Kayla whispered irritated as she carried her brown-spotted, owl Riku towards a towering, maroon, painted house that sat on the corner of Valent and tavern drive. Riku moved about in her cage as Kayla felt raindrops run down her arm. The sky was full of dark clouds covering for miles. Kayla began to walk even faster as she spotted a strike of lightning to the South. She approached the 2 story house and set Riku’s cage down onto the porch beside her. She leaned over to knock on the door but before she had a chance the door swung open and there Valerie stood looking like she was ready to leave for the US and that she was never coming back. “Umm. Did you take your whole room?” Kayla looked up at her. “No. Just half of it” Valerie grinned as Kayla walked inside sitting Riku

Kayla walked inside sitting Riku down next to Valerie’s cat Dinah who stared curiously at Riku and pawing at the cage every once and awhile. “Called Mady yet?” Valerie asked as her and Kayla walked into the kitchen. “Yea. We are suppose to go down to her house next” Kayla responded. “Soda?” Valerie asked looking over to Kayla who shook her head. “Where is the rest of your things anyway. You do know after we get Mady we are suppose to head down to the train station?” Valerie said opening her soda. “Left everything at Mady’s yesterday so I wouldn’t have to carry it everywhere” Kayla stated as they walked back to the door. “Your Mum knows you’re leaving today right?” Kayla asked. “Yep she left this morning since teachers are to be there early. Gave me the lecture about getting there safely. No wondering off…fooling around.” Valerie muttered. “Ah I see. Bet it’ll be nice having her around the school though. Knows where everything is” Kayla responded. Valerie’s mother worked at Hogwarts for the past 3 years as an auror. She stayed around the school most of the time and occassionaly helped out with the schedules. Valerie’s father worked with Kayla’s at the Ministry of Magic. While Kayla’s mum was a Quidditch referee.
