The Everything and Nothing Thread

Hi everybody! Happy Monday!

It's always nice to hear what you've all been up to! I had a quiet but nice Mother's Day. My girls gave me earrings and the sure fire hit of a box of See's chocolates. Gordon made a fabulous dinner of (highlight if you're not Faith) grilled lobster tail. Then we cuddled up on the couch and watched "Arsenic and Old Lace". Gordon enjoys Cary Grant comedies almost as much as I do. I think I see just a little something more in them than he does, though. ;)

LOTS of rain here. We might hit 70 tomorrow, and if we do it'll only be the third time this year. Heck, we've been lucky just to hit 60 lately.

Janet - Loved hearing about your trip to Savannah! I've never even seen a collard green!

Faith - It does me good just to hear about your warm weather! I miss my own topless days!

Sandee - Your jacuzzi get-away sounds marvelous! Hope you have a wonderful time!

I'm looking forward to Memorial Day weekend. We've invited about 20 people to the beach for a camp out. We can fit everybody inside, but we don't really want to!

Have a great week!

Hi Evs!! Happy Friday!! It is gorgeous here today; 82 & sunny. :cool1: (But I'm not topless!!! ;) ) The weathermen had predicted mid 70's & rainy. Glad they are wrong again!! :rotfl: Now I hope they get the next couple of days wrong too. We're on an "at home" vacation next week & they're saying rain with temps mid 50's - 60's.

Have a great weekend!!! :goodvibes

Hey Sandee!

Oooh, 82! I'm currently thrilled with our 70 and mostly sunny today, but like you it's right back to 50s and 60s starting tomorrow through next week. At least I'm wearing shorts today!

Anything fun planned for your at home vacation? Books to be read, movies to be watched?

Hi all!
Seems like everyone had a great day Mom's Day. Wouldn't it be nice if Mother's Day was every month instead of once a year:goodvibes Would we still get the same royal treatment if so??

I had a nice day too - got my nails done, lunch with a friend, and then dinner later with the fam. My DH gave me earrings, DS & DD gave me flowers and bath products, and received some great cards.

Janet, let me know what you think of the Creative Memories software. I already own Photoshop so I think I'm going to take some online courses and learn how to scrapbook within that software. I have looked at Creative Memories though; I know it's easier than Photoshop, so I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on it.

My husband has informed me that I cannot get rid of any of my paper scrapbooking stuff though; too much invested. I guess it will all sit in the storage area collecting dust.

Faith: Still have to met up with my friend, to see the software and learn at bit. I have PS Elements, but don't know it well. I liked the looks of the CM program so I'm anxious to try it. Some of the samples pages on line looked terrific! BTW if you want to upload any supplies I have a friend that needs some 12x12 page protectors to finish a scrapbooking book.

Joan: Savannah was terrific. It seems so far away now. I guess I just need to plan my next vacation:thumbsup2

Sandee: Have a great "at home" vacation ... I usually never take time off for doing stuff at home. Hope its relaxing! You can catch the new Pirates movie next Friday - opening night.

Have a great weekend!
Janet

Hey EvNo's...how is life?

For me, same old same old. DH is working odd hours every week, and we never have a consistent week to week schedule, so planning things is a bit of a challenge. He was supposed to go in to have blood drawn on Friday, and the Rx was somehow lost..so now we need to get the RX again and try again in a few weeks...Nothing is ever easy..

I really need a vacation...either away or "staycation" does not matter at this point...just something...here is hoping..

So what is up with the rest of ya all

Hi Dax!!!

I'm working 6 days a week, 12 hours a day so today I'm not even dressed yet!!!

My oldest son/daughter in law are pregnant. She's 37 and has had difficulties in the past so we are excited and worried at the same time. We thought we'd only have one grandchild (middle son/wife have a 6 year old) so this is big news.

:cloud9:Dax- I could use a vacation too! You're in Florida, right? How would you feel about a house swap?

Pakey- Congratulations! I will say a prayer for you son and daughter-in-law that their baby arrives happy and healthy. Big news!

I am stressed out like crazy right now. Right now I'm taking a study break, but I feel like I'm about to go out of my mind. I'm working full time, taking two summer classes, helping out one of my professors as a research assistant, running the church nursery and helping my friend plan her wedding. I know there are plenty of people who go to juggle work, school, family and other commitments but I feel like I'm about to lose it!:rotfl:

I am trying to learn how to say no to people and realize that I can't do everything. The next time a co-worker calls and asks me to take their shift I feel like I might hop on the next plan to an uninhabited island and do nothing but sleep, drink coconut juice and sleep some more. :rolleyes1

:cloud9:Dax- I could use a vacation too! You're in Florida, right? How would you feel about a house swap?

Can I leave my DH too? Just remember my FL home comes with 4 pugs and 4 cats to be taken care of too!
