The everchanging dates trip - FINALLY.. The TRIP ITSELF!!

Thanks for the replies! It always makes me want to continue if I know people are actually reading! LOL!!! As for me being the nicest person in the world.. well.. I wouldn't go that far!! LOL!! But.. disney casts that special magic on us all.. and makes me want to be a little bit nicer to everyone! I always tell my boss when I am getting a little cranky that I need to go back to Disney to refill my niceness tank!! LOL!! Whatever works!

Okay... off to the races.. HA! Ha! No pun intended.. as I am off to check into SSR Today! Get it? Saratoga... races?? Huh? Do Ya?? Well.. I awake in AS Sports... had a nice night there... I slept in a little since it was a late night... But I figured I would get out and send my luggage off to SSR through Disney's luggage services, grab a bite to eat at the food court and then head off to some park for a few hours before the rest of the world woke up and decided to do the same thing! I was going to call bell services, but then I decided since it was getting a little late that I would just walk myself and my bags up to the lobby... So.. off I went.. (thank goodness for luggage with wheels!!) I pass several people hanging out by the pool nursing their hangovers!! napping.. and just generally looking exhausted and head into the lobby to search out the luggage desk... when I walked through the door it was like NYE all over again... WOW.. there were like millions of people checking in... checking out.. and just generally milling about. I finally found the luggage desk OUTSIDE!! LOL!! and saw that there was one family ahead of me... with enough luggage for about 10 families!! But there was only ONE person manning the luggage check in... a very harried looking female CM... while I was waiting in line a Magical express buss pulled up and unloaded another 1 million people... WOW.. I was starting to get a little nervous about the crowd lever.. AND about the fact that my breakfast time was starting to tick away from me... Darn.. my only day to enjoy a food court.. and I could slowly see that mickey waffle taunting me... Well.. about 20 minutes later.. and still in the same spot... the CM comes back out from the bowels of the luggage room and starts to take the 400 suitcases from the family in front of me... there are now about 20 people behind me in line.. and growing! I felt SOOO bad for this woman. She was all alone and stressed beyond belief. I waited ever so patiently .. although truthfully I wanted to scream.. MY WAFFLE IS WAITING FOR ME PEOPLE!! Don't you understand.. Waffle Emergency!!! I mean.. I would have waited forever if I had just had that Waffle!... Oh.. ummmm.. I just thought of something.. I guess I could have gone to the food court WITH my luggage and just eaten and then come back! DUH!! LOL!! Oh well! Live and learn! Finally, it was my turn... I thanked the poor CM.. and VERY Visably handed her a Tip.. She thanked me.. with a look that said volumes.. apparently NOONE had thought to give her a tip!! Really.. what is a few bucks in the scheme of things?? You spend that on a soda! It seemed to work though.. cause I saw the people who were next in line start to dig in their wallets for some singles! And then of course feeling such relief that I could Possible still get my waffle.. as I walked past the rest of the waiting folks I said.. quite loudly.. Come on guys.. give the lady a few dollars.. she is working Really hard!! .. Happy New year So.. I hope she made a few extra dollars that day.. cause she certainly looked like all she wanted to do was cry and go home... Well.. I got to the Food court.. and YES!! They were still serving breakfast.. a few of the boards had started to switch over to lunch.. but 2 were still on breakfast... I got my waffle and went out to sit in the sun and enjoy every bit of it! And I did!! Ah... now full and ready to hit the parks.. I decide to check out the gift shop before I got on the bus... There were some cute things there.. and I planned on returning when I got my rental car. (Yeah... that NEVER happened! ) Well.. I stepped outside and played bus roullette... whatever rolled in first was where I would go... well.. the Animal Kingdom won out! It was my favorite park last trip.. where I spent most of my time... So, I was looking forward to it. As I stepped on the bus, I said farewell to ASSports... knowing that I would definitely try the resort again on a budgetted trip.... for now... off to the Animal Kingdom.

Great report! Can't wait to read more!

My guess with the lost boy is that his parents split up in the crowd, either purposely or accidentally, and each thought that the other had the kid. They may not have realized he was missing til they met back up. Can you imagine the panic! I have to give them the benefit of the doubt anyway, especially in crowds that size!
