Feel the flower power at Epcot®
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival returns April 21-June 11, featuring colorful and fragrant gardens, elaborate topiary displays, interactive presentations from gardening experts, special themed weekends and more.

Also returning is the popular Flower Power Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre. This nightly concert series, included with Epcot admission, is expanding this year to include iconic bands from both the 1960s and 1970s. While entertainment is subject to change, this year's concert lineup is scheduled to include The Nelsons (April 21-24), The Buckinghams (April 25-27), Gary Puckett (April 28-May 1), The Grass Roots Featuring Rob Grill (May 2-4), Paul Revere and the Raiders (May 5-8), The Association (May 9-11), Davy Jones (May 12-15), The Tokens (May 16-18), BJ Thomas (May 19-22), Felix Cavaliere's Rascals (May 23-25), The Guess Who (May 26-29), Tony Orlando (May 30-June 1), Arlo Guthrie (June 2-5), The Turtles Featuring Flo and Eddie (June 6-7) and Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone (June 8-11).

Performances take place on most evenings at 5:45, 7:00 and 8:15 p.m.

Oh I'm so disappointed! I wanted to see Davy Jones when we were there in 2004 and didn't get a wrist band quick enough. This time we miss him AND the Tokens!

WAAAH!

WAAAH!

That is so sad. Are you there for any of them?
We missed Hermans Hermits by a day:mad:

I asked on the theme park board, but thought I'm might get a better answer here. :)

I know the themes change every year, but is the F&G Festival much different from year to year?

Thanks!!

That's a good question :thumbsup2 I don't really know since I've only been twice before and they were years apart. This year I'm looking forward to experiencing the parfum flower scents in France and seeing the  couple topiaries as well as the concerts

Hello Deb!

It's so nice to see you being your usual kind and helpful self! :sunny:

Perhaps we'll run into each other at the F&G festival this year. :)

BTW, your Disneyland rose pictures are gorgeous! No surprise there! :flower3:

Hey Kim!

TY, :cloud9: you're just as sweet as ever!

Would love to see you at the F&G Fest :cheer2:

I'll be the one with the flower in her hair sniffing up all the scents in France :hippie:

:yay:Think I'm leaving Monday (if I can get a flight out) for a few days at the world :woohoo:

:yay: Snowark is back!

We go to the F&G every year and the main difference is the many topiaries on display. Years ago, they would have authors and book signings, maybe they still do, but I find it hard to get an advanced schedule so to best use the days that we're there, usually only 2-3 day weekends.

This year we will be there for 2 weekends, and we should see Davy Jones and Herman's Hermits. I wish they would reinstate the wristbands, they didn't offer them to either AP holders or DVC in '05.

I've enjoyed the F&G festival for the past few years and this will be the first year that I will be going to the concerts.

Can anyone tell me if its a...1st come line?? Do we need any special wristband or ticket??

Bottom line...How does Disney do it and what do I need to do?? :confused3

Thanks in advance!! :thumbsup2

Hi

Did you get your answer? Just first come first serve. I was hoping for special DVC or AP wristbands but no such luck this year? Who will you be seeing?

Bobbi

Thats To Bad You Missed Davey Jones And The Tokens Davey Jones Is Playing Next Weekend And I Believ The Tokens Are Playing After That

I have found that the floral displays vary, but are very similiar.

I saw Peter Noone a couple of years ago...so much fun.

Last year we saw Arlo. Plan to go to two of his shows. It's like the first show is the first half and the second show is the conclusion. He was wonderful, by the way.

Hurray :Pinkbounc Hope we get to see the Association Tuesday night. Really looking forward to seeing some beautiful flowers too. When I was there in March I got to see a new butterfly garden in front of the Y&B. No butterflies at that time but there should be by now.
I'll take lottsa petal pics.
The temps are going to be in the 90's though so I would imagine we'll be wilting along with the flowers. :sunny:

How is it going? We saw the Association a few years ago, they were at the Cincinnati Zoo's Members Night.
We love to smell the gardenias around the Beach Club and the Boardwalk area along the walk to Epcot on the not-BC side of the lake.
We leave here tomorrow, I can't wait.

Just got back! What a great time:cool1:The flowers & topiaries are fantasmic! Took quite a few pics but spent most of the time stimulating my senses smelling and looking.
I'll post some F&G pics soon. The Association were fun to hear. Brought back a lot of memories. The vocals weren't as good as they were 5 years ago at the beach concert on LI. :hippie: then again we're all getting up there in years.

Davy Jones put on a great show. He said the shows would be different, so we went to 2, but he told the same jokes, "Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely walker," for instance. Then I get home and a friend sent me an forwarding along e-mail with all of the jokes of plays on '60's song titles, and well, I saw where he got his stuff!

The Association came to my college, Trenton State (at the time, and forever in my heart!) in the 60's. I was surprised to learn when the group came to the Cincinnati Zoo, that at least one singer was still in the group. Now, that's a lifelong career!

We're lucky, going back for the last weekend. There are things that I still want to see.

Bobbi
