When I was growing up, we had thin, delicate cotton nightgowns. Over the years, they have become so scarce, I began to think they no longer existed. I'm not referring to the cotton lawn gowns I can find by Eileen west, I'm referring to the ones that are thin enought to almost see through, and like cotton silk, but not silky. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?

Well...about a month ago, I stayed up late, again, to search, and actually found a company in Ireland, that said the material was cotton and had tiny seed pearls. The price seemed to low to be authentic. But today....the gown arrived.

And I was shocked!! It was the fine, delicate cotton from my youth, and the delicate handwork was GORGEOUS. I don't think I'm suppose to post links but feel free to PM me.

Wow...I'm stunned. I wish more companies made beautiful sleepwear. It makes me feel....pretty! If you have found pretty all cotton gowns, please let me know!

It is lovely. I don't routinely wear a nightgown (I'm a tank top and panties kinda person) but I had something very similar for use at the hospital when DS was born. I hope you enjoy your special find and have a very warm and Merry Christmas.

I did a tour of Ireland in July, and Blarney Woolen Mills was hands down the best store we went to. I bought my mom a beautiful sweater there. You could tell they only sold high quality goods.

Oh my heavens, yall! My order just arrived! They are gorgeous!! Beautiful handywork, tiny detail, mother of pearl buttons, miniature silky ribbon. I can't believe how beautiful these are! And they were on sale and less than $50 each! I ordered eight so I would have them forever!
