A time ago, on a web board far far away, in a land of dial up and Netscape, when a virus meant drinking lots of liquids and getting rest, a prince named Al Bore created a network to care and share.
An Insidious Emperor rose to take power over this network. Cloaked in the veil of good and righteousness those who seemed to be protectors enslaved the population, controlling their minds, implanting thoughts and instructions in insidious ways.
It seemed so clear, right was good and evil was bad. The Insidious Empire worked through prominent puppet leaders.
