The Electric Umbrella: Inspired By "Fav at Disney?"

What is it about the Electric Umbrella that we all love?

I mean, who DOESN'T love that restaurant in the middle of the Innoventions plaza?

Is it the modern-looking architecture? Is it the airconditioning? Is it that somehow...the burgers, fries, and chicken fingers seem to taste just that much better? Is it the eclectic (spelling?) music that plays right outside of it? Is it that it's two stories with a great panoramic view with windows all around? Or is it just the cool colors?

Nonetheless, I feel as though we always have to eat here when in Epcot. I feel like I'm truly "experiencing" Disney when there...don't ask me why...I just can't figure it out! Can anyone answer why they love it so much?

PS - We didn't get to eat there our last trip...I was outnumbered to go to the American Pavillion instead

I don't like the EU. So many other good resturaunts in Epcot.

When you can get food from around the world, why get the same old boring chicken, burgers, and fries?

It's that same old chicken, burgers, and fries that lets us relive our fond memories and our past magical experiences! It's what makes me want to go back year after year and what makes me smile when I am there...

...and then you try new things and make new memories...but you simply can't forget the old.

But honestly, it's Epcot. I'd rather get awsome true Mexican food from Mexico, or great Mid-Eastern food from Morroco (sp). I just see it as traveling to Brazil or something, and going to McDonalds to eat.

For whatever reason, everytime I go there, its cause it's raining, and its the closest thing. But I still like it there.

But to me, even the chicken and fries tasts SO much better at WDW than at McDonalds (I can't stand McDonalds -ick-).

I, too, love to experience the tastes of the world...but that doesn't mean to forget the usual!

(Never been to EU, but knowing Disney, the chicken is the same there as it is every other service counter lol)

With a Conga Juice to complement that. Ahhh yes. That is why I don't like the EU.

It's the best counter service restaurant at WDW, I go there every trip.

the snazzy music has my heart. and all those lights on the umbrellas and above the menu could keep my occupied for hours. my only hate: there is NEVER any inside seating. as soon as someone gets up, their table is tackled by atleast 16 people.

I don't eat there. we usually eat in France or Morroco. But I don't eat hamburgers

I'm not saying you can't enjoy the "wonderful" food from around the world (personally, I'm an extremely pickey eater so I think it's all really nasty! But I know for other people it's great...so all applauds to Disney for that)...

But what I AM saying, is that you should, from my personal experience, go to the EU at least once a trip.

HAHAHA! I love to be the people who tackle the table! Breathe down other people's necks til they finish eating and get up and we steal their table!

Side Note: That's like at Pizza Planet...where you have to fight even WORSE for tables...but they have AWESOME pizza! I mean, really REALLY good pizza.
