The Educated Pin Shark

It wasn't that long ago that pin sharks used brute force swindling to seperate the trader from their pins. Now they are using their heads by using several pages from the fair traders book. They now use the tools the fair traders used to foil the sharks. The Sharks now utilize Pin Pics and use it's information in a way to make unfair trades with unsuspecting people. They quote Ebay and Tomarts pin guide like the gospell when making trades. They use it's pin rating and recent bids to justify 5 of your pins for that 1 you are interested in. I despise this new trend of trading, but alas there's nothing we can do for the moment. Just stay strong listen to that gut feeling heck use the force if you have to just stay true to fair pin trading and foil those sharks.

Very true.... I never use the value of a pin as set by a wants and trade number from pin pics... I trade for what I want and use what I have to get it.

I have traded what some would call a Holy Grail for a pin that is not hard to get. Why? Because I wanted it and it allowed the other person to get a pin they very much wanted with out giving up their pin book.

So you may see a trade going on that seems to be very one sided... But before you react to stop it make sure you know all the facts. There are a lot of traders out there like me. It is only a pin and half the fun is making someones day.
