What do you all bring for using in the washers at WDW? I use liquid ALL, and thought I would just bring the bottle, does anyone eles have an idea?

I use liquid at home but for our trip, I bought a small box of tide powder. I premeasured the powder into small ziplocs so each contained enough for one load and only brought what I needed. I didn't want to take the chance of the liquid spilling, plus it is heavier. I also took a few dryer sheets.

On our last trip I took 3 sample packets that I had gotten from threads here on the dis. On the freebie threads they had things to sign up for and I received 3 different detergent samples and a sample of 2 dryer sheets also. These were liquid, but sealed in the sample packet and I just put them in a large zip lock. I also went and bought a small bottle of tide from Target in the travel section. I think it was for 2 loads. This was sealed also and had tape on the top, but I also put it in a zip lock. No problems and I didnt have to cart anything back.

Did not think of powder! I'll head to the dollar store tomorrow and pick up a small box, and pre-bag it. I already have dryer sheets.

BTW, how much are the washers, dryers?

I've brought both powder and liquid without a problem, but the powder is lighter.

Like others, I premeasured the powder into a ziploc bag, but I also add a scoop of Clorox II.

I pre bag the powder too (and I use liquid at home).

I think it costs around $1.75-$2.00 to wash. I forget exactly how much.

I also bring just a small box of powder and a few dryer sheets in a ziploc bag. The washers have always been nice at the resorts we have stayed at. I normally have to just do laundry 1 time in a bout the middle of our trip;) It is actually kind of relaxing for me, I just bring a magazine and sit and relax!

:thumbsup2 we have a big box of the tide tablets and keep them just for trips, we had a sample of dryer sheets, we stayed at the Doubletree in downtown disney and it was 2.00 for a wash and 2.00 for the dryer!

The dryers I used did not completely dry my clothes.

Overall, I spent $10 doing two loads of laundry. That included buying a powder box of Tide from the dispenser for $1.00.

Noticed at Target and Wal-Mart they have travel size detergent now. Just remember for easier and faster security checks to pack in your CHECKED bagage, no liquid or white powdery substances in plastic baggies in CARRY ONs.

I have searched high and low for the tablets...to everyone I've asked's knowledge, they have been discontinued...have you seen them anywhere currently or are these from your precious "stockpile"? :) If I had known I couldn't find them anymore, I would have stockpiled them! :)

I buy the $1 container of Liquid TIDE at Target. I just dump what I don't use.

I bought the Purex tablets at Target and Walmart before...they are really handy...I just throw a couple of them into the suit case and we are good to go...no worrying about things getting broken and spilling all over...they are really handy...I only use them for vacation so one box goes a long ways.

This was posted on a DVC board. Oxi-clean has product that you just throw in the washer. it has fabric softner in it and is good for about 40 washes. The product is free but costs 4.99 for shipping. It is on the oxiclean website. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the product but I did get it and plan on bringing it with me.
