Actually, the best rates may have been months ago. I would recommend trying to pick up away from MCO and then drop off at MCO. You can uber or taxi to the off-airport location and it will save you about 50% on the going rates at MCO.

been doing this for 8 years now, for September rentals....no, the best rates were not months ago by any means.... I always book one to just have months in advance..never once have I kept that reservation, always a better rate 2 months or less before the trip. As for offsite, I have tried those rates, much higher... thanks though!

They will come down. Our trip is 8/21 thru 9/5 and the rates are high. I plugged in a 15 day car for next week and the prices were way lower. When it's closer, they will go down.

I wouldn't have suggested offsite rates to you without checking them out first, but suit yourself.
