How guys was just wondering how everyone keeps themselves and the kiddies amused on the long flight over.

We flew from Belfast to Gatwick then on to Orlando last year, that felt really long. This year it direct from Belfast and we`re hoping it`ll go a bit quicker.

I`ve got my psp and ds, each kid has a ds and a couple of books but the wee one aged 7 got a wee bit ratty towards the end last year and was hoping to keep her mind off it this time.

So any hints or tips?

Hi there

My DS5 loves the mini aqua draw books, they are small enough to fit in hand luggage and the water pen can be filled up on the plane. He also likes the colour wonder books by Crayola (kinda like magic painting, but it is a sponge and a a vasaline like substance - sounds weird I know). They are mess free and can be bought in the large supermarkets.

I also buy some little cheap toys from the supermarket and wrap them up in disney paper and when he starts to get a bit bored bring out a little pressie.

Good luck and I hope it goes well.:goodvibes

Haven't got kids so I can only tell you what I use to keep this big kid amused. I have an archos 705 media player which stores all the films and tv shows I could possably want to watch, the battery lasts around 4 hours so I bought a high capacity battery to go with it which covers the flight and airport waiting. The added bonus being that it can also be used as a web browser and photo storage if you need somewhere to dump you pictures to clear up camera memory.

Lol, I have a zen Vision W, and i was planning on filling it up with movies/UFC/Frasier to keep me amused, have never heard of a high capacity battery before, will have a look into it.

I buy lots of little things, like sweets, colouring books, magazines, books, and wrap them up,,then give them one roughly about once an hour. That, along with their NDS and the in flight flims usually does the trick!

scarily enough this is pretty much what was on mine when I flew out
