Have y'all heard about this tour? It has Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger with Stewart Copeland (The Police) on drums. The front man is a sound alike. They are coming to Houston 3/28. I had second row tickets this morning and two minutes to decide if I could part with $126.50 for EACH ticket.


I will be Door - less.

Just couldn't do it.

Saw them on Jay Leno a few weeks ago. The lead singer looks and acts like Jim Morris. I forget what band he is from.

I saw them on the Leno show too, and I thought they stunk (hard for me to say, because I love The Door's music).


The new lead singer is Ian Astbury, formerly of The Cult.

I always thought the Doors were highly overrated. I just couldn't love a band without a bass player, and Jim Morrison was just too moody for me.

I can't imagine their reunion band could be much better - and I certainly can't imagine shelling out that much $$ to see them play.

I LOVED The Cult (and Ian Astbury) and I adored the Police (Stuart Copeland) but never really got into the Doors.

It is a ton of money no matter how you slice it!!!

I know what you're saying about owning a copy, Jeannie.

I think I hijacked another thread. We're talking about Come on baby light my fire. Which in turn reminds me of Val portraying Jim in the movie the Doors, which in turn reminds me of Val and Kurt in Tombstone.

Yes, I am accentless. Atleast I think so. Although I do get told I sound distinctly southern sometimes. That just makes me want to pour on the Scarlett O'Hara though. JTB says I sound like I'm from 'Bama. I'm from Gawguh.
