I have read so many time how excited people get when they get their documents. What do you receive when the documents come other than paperwork to be filled out?

I have also read people get information detailing the excursions 60 days before the cruise. I never received this book and was curious if there is any information in this booklet or excursions other than what can be found on the DCL website.

On the 3 or 4 day........ the docs include your receipt, itinerary, ticket, Bahamas Immigration Form, room charge account form and the formal contract, which you have to sign and turn in at check-in. Unless different people in your room will be charging to different credit cards, you only need to turn in one room charge form per room. The entire package is quite a few pages.

We haven't been on one of the 7 day trips (yet), so they may contain more.

The excursions brochure we received looked pretty much the same as what is on the DCL site.

Thank you outahere (love that name).

I can wait a bit longer if it's just paperwork to fill out. I guess a rainy day dreaming of the Caribbean has gotten me impatient.

Hi Sweetspot. Thanks for sharing in my excitement over getting mine....at least part of them! They were not at all what I was expecting. I guess I had pictured big pieces of paper, but it is a little booklet with pages that they will tear out...Kind of like old airline tickets except cardboard instead of paper. The cruise contract is in the back of the booklet....pretty much says they aren't responsible for anything and if they subsitute a different ports or even a different ship....that's okay!;) There was a form for charging, and a page to fill out with how you are getting home(Wonder what would happen if we filled it out that we thought we'd just stay a while longer and wouldn't be needing a car or airline afterall!) There was a booklet of the gifts you can order for the room. Also a booklet of all the ship information. I have not looked at that closely yet but maybe that lists excursions??? I didn't get anything else about them. Also a brochure on renting tuxedos. My husband has one so I didn't pay much attention to that either. Each person in the room got their own little booklet that requires signatures, but a parent is to sign for minor children. It was all packed up in a little cardboard folder/suitcase kind of thing with the big orange sticker across the front pointing out that you'd better not forget your passport or birth certificate. I live in fear of forgetting our passports!:o

I'll have some time tonight to really go over them more closely.

Thank you my3kids!! Hearing everyone's excitement about receiving their documents over the last couple months had me really anxious for mine. Knowing that there is no great surprise in them makes it easier to wait. Now if I can only stand waiting the next 36 days til the cruise. I feel like a child (am acting like one too LOL) and want to go NOW!

SweetSpot: You can call your travel agent to ask if they have recieved them yet. The TA might have them and isn't planning to send them to you until closer to the date. It is worth a call anyway. If they don't have them yet, at least they know you are anxious for them. If by chance they do have them, they'll know you don't want to wait but would prefer to get them now. My TA told me the date they were mailed to me, so I know when to expect the 2nd set.
