Hi Girls!!

Step mom is a buddist so she really struggles with christmas (she celebrates for the kids) She likes having special holiday jsut for us.

So do we!!!

FIL, went in for orthoscopic (sp?) surgery on his shoulder this morning. had a burr under his shoulder blade. They live and hour from us, but the surgery was at the hospital 1 village away from me, so Emily and I went to sit with MIL. Emily was the hit of the surgical waiting room! She came dressed as sleeping beauty and charmed the socks off of everyone.

Hi everyone. I am currently hiding out in the dark trying desperately to post. LOL. We are through for the night with T and T and just want to make sure we dont get anymore. Dh turned all the lights out and Im posting by glo stick and monitor light.

Jennifer I am so glad FIL's surgery went well. Im sorry he will be in pain when the morphine wears off. Why couldnt they do the block?

Is it ten o'clock yet so I can turn the lights back on????

Point of Clarification: I work in a 180 bed nursing home. I did 10 years in the hospital and that was enough for me. I usually cover 74 beds, but today I had all 180. That's ok as long as no one falls or gets sick, but today we had all of the above!

Elaine I meant to tell you. I lost my mom on October 13 and my dad on Nov 21 of the same year so I know what you are going through during the holiday season. I am here for you if you ever need/want to talk.

Make sure that's cotton dryer lint!! Had a nasty experience when a girl threw in some that contained dog hair

Thanks Karen, I wouldn't worry so much about the cats being gone for 2 nights, but 1 they are indoor cats. 2 it stresses the girls out even if I'm cooool about it and 3 we have a pack of coyties living in the woods down and around the other side of the cornfield behind our neighborhood. (Actually saw one pass through my backyard about 3 weeks after we moved in )

They couldn't do a nerve block because FIL has asthma. They didn't want to compromise his diapham since they would be working in the shoulder area.

And I keep forgetting to post.....
