Sorry to ask more costly questions!

Just looking into it and it seems the price to just stay here room only per night seems extortionate and an impossibility money wise unless you earn fair coinage!!!

I was hoping to stay there if only for one night for our anniversary next year but at over £100 per person for one night, not even thinking about upgrading to the castle club.... do you get real gold coins on your pillow everyday? or a little man that tucks you in and brings you hot chocolate at night??? or does that price include dinner or something???

I just can't see what your getting here you don't get at the other hotels for waaay cheaper (apart from location) surely it's just a room for the night....

or am i very very wrong and it's worth every penny.

If i want to stay there need ammo to seriously convince the hubby...

I'm intrigued...

kxx

I stayed there last December and am going back, Castle Club this year.

I think that it is worth the money.

The main benefit is that you are directly at the entrance to the parks. It was great to be able to pop back to the room during the day and not to have a 10-15 minute walk back to the hotel at the end of the day.

In the rooms you get a towelling robe to wear, a chocolate coin on your pillow each evening and a turn down service.

The detail in the hotel is amazing from the TV cabinet to the border around the room, everywhere you look in the room you see something else.

Breakfast is in either Inventions or The California Grill and as well as the continental breakfast they also have hot options (sausages, eggs, pancakes etc.) and its wonderful to sit looking out the window at the Castle.

Outside the breakfast room there a whole host of characters and there are others wandering around the hotel.

You also get a Disney FastPass with a standard room and a VIP FastPass with CC room.

Yes it does cost a lot more than the other hotels but I think that if you want the experience you just need to try to look past the cost (not easy I know). I would also say that if you save the money and book another hotel then the extra money could be used on other treats.

What would you say about having a room right in the park? The DLH can fulfill this dream.
As the DLH is the end of Mainstreet you really feel like you are still in the park. And during breakfast at the restaurants you can see the castle, Mainstreet and the train station. You can see how the CM’s “arouse” the park in the morning and in the evening you can see how they clean everything up.
You can have a walk through Fantasia Garden and you are almost alone (in the morning and evening)
I think it is all about location, location, location.

Well sort of... they call them VIP Fast Passes :goodvibes

For us, the gold coin is the possibility to go back to our hotel, with our 1 and 3-yo children, without actually leaving the park!
It costs us more than twice the Sequoia, but considering the weather in November, it should be well worth it :yay:

we stayed at the disneyland hotel this year (may) for the first time, so much more than we expected, just amazing,

when we were booking in to the hotel goofy was around and had a family pic with him,
we also had evening dinner for mine and mums birthday at inventions that made out holiday, it realy did, had the disney bday cake bought out all the characters, inc minnie and mickey.

then at night the bed stuff was all pulled back with gold chocolate disney coins on it.

things is if you may that little bit more...you get that bit more out of it

also did 1st class eurostar..if you want to go that extra mile, its so worth it belive me.

we said it would be our last trip ....going again in 2009 lol

People may flame me but I am going to make one small critisism about the DLH! Stayed there for 1 night in April 06 and thought the room was in need of refurbishment. Torn wallpaper and worn and tired looking bathroom. Also view of scaffolding as exterior of the hotel being renovated. We didn't pay for our room as it was a complimentary room due to a previous problem with a trip to Disneyland Paris, but if we'd have been paying guests, we would have been a little disappointed.

However, v comfy beds, excellent service and FAB location. VIP fastpasses a great perk too.

I so hope to stay here one day lol.... maybe when ive won the lottery lol

it is def worth all the extra and it is alot extra but it is such an extravagance , so elegant and calm compared to the other hotels you can really relax here , and the location makes it perfect

To be honest I don't think it is worth the money however I still pay it.
