Hello, quick question. Our flight now comes in 30 minutes later at LAX, and we'll only have 15 minutes to get to the DL Express. What I was wondering is if you buy your voucher at the bus or if there is a counter of some sort that you have to go to first.

We're getting round trip vouchers using coupons. :)

Thanks!

I got mine onboard the bus last week. However, 15mins doesn't leave much time (probably zero if you have checked bags) to get to the curb.

When I used it a couple of years ago, you paid when you got to the Disneyland Hotel. From there they directed you to stay on the bus or get on another bus to your actual hotel. There was no counter in the airport, you just head straight out to the curb.

Yeah we all have carry on and we are all prepared to run and try to make it. We'd like to not be waiting an hour for the next one. We're all teens so we can move a little faster I think. :)

The time they show is at terminal 1, so if your airline is not at terminal 1, it might be later. I flew on USAir, which is terminal 1 and it was 15 or 20 minutes late.

According to the brochure, you can call 714-978-8855 to verify the time of the next bus when you get there.

If you're coming in on an American flight which gates at the commuter terminal, it'll take 20-30 (one reason I switched to Southwest).

We're coming in on Alaska Airlines, which I think is terminal 3. In this case I'm hoping it will be a bit late.

We are using them but flying into orange county. I bought our tickets online if you buy them online they offer a discount.

At SNA they have a little booth by the bus that you buy your tickets at. For the return trip you buy them from the bus driver. I don't know if LAX differs in this or not.

We flew AirTran which is also out of terminal 3; the walk wasn't too bad to get out to the pick up area. When you get to the end of the walkway to the doors leading outside head out the doors right there, play frogger across the cars picking up people, and the green area for bus pick up should be nearby. I'm not sure why, but our driver was told to circle thru the terminals again to see if there were more passengers to pick up - guessing because it was slow season and/or I'm sure it's more cost effective to have fuller buses; anyways wasn't a big deal. First stop was DLH, a rep from Disneyland Express came onto the bus to collect vouchers and you could also purchase vouchers (one-way or round trip) at this time - we had a coupon and credit card and all worked well. VGC was the next hotel so not sure what happened after that. On the way back to the airport we were picked up at VGC and then DLH was the last stop where someone came aboard again to collect vouchers.
I would definitely use them again, worked especially well for just the 2 of us.

Does the shuttle ever sell out? We are coming in busy July, wondering if we should buy tickets in advance?

They have a phone number you can call to make your reservations, and also online booking. That might be a good idea during the more crowded months, just in case. Better to be safe than sorry.

Isn't Shuttle2LAX cheaper than Disney Express even with the discount? This was discussed in a previous thread, but I can't seem to find it now. Shuttle2LAX (http://shuttletolax.com) is $20 for the first person, $11 each additional person with no additional taxes or fees. I don't know what kind of discount you are getting for Disney Express, but I think Shuttle2LAX might be cheaper.

Yes, they go through all the terminals. Just stand under the green area and smile big when you see them!

Lol.. thanks for not pointing and laughing... well at least I don't think you were.:goodvibes

I've never flown into LAX so I wasn't sure how it worked. I'm used to Santa Ana with it's 14 gates :lmao:

I got $95 each way from DFW to LAX non stop so I couldn't let that pass. $423 round trip for 2 people compared to almost that much for one person to fly into Santa Ana. No brainer really.

check the website schedule. I think it's every 30 minutes they have a bus make its rounds to all the terminals. When it's slow like early morning or after 5pm then it's back to every hour.

When I rode on it this June, we sat behind the driver. You could tell who was waiting for the DL express because all of the happy faces.

So smile big and the bus driver will know to stop, LOL! I know that's how cheesey we looked, but the driver had not doubts if we were getting on. Course our kids jumping up and down prob helped too.
