1) Not in the sense of they typical WDW food court.
2) It is a series of different sections or stations.
3) You get a "ticket".
4) As you walk around and get food, your ticket is stamped.
5) As mentioned, a 10% gratuity is automatic.

But Pepper Market IS included on the Quick Service DP, right? Will the gratuity be OOP?

Everything I've read here about the 10% gratuity at Pepper Market is that it IS included with the various dining plans (DDP, DxDDP and QSDP)

It's a "fancier" food court. You order, you pickup, you carry it back to your table, you give them 10% gratuity. They're no dummies, at the Pepper Market. They've figured out quite a deal. :rolleyes1

I know this has been asked before, but the search function isn't turning up anything...

Can I use reward dollars for tipping? I am paying for my trip with reward dollars, but will have built up a good amount more in the 45 days after final payment is due. As we don't expect to be taking another trip to WDW in the near future, I would like to be able to use the reward dollars on this trip. I know I can use them for merchandise, but after 17 trips to WDW I really don't buy much of anything anymore.

My wife and I are going to WDW in late July/early August for our first anniversary, and we were wondering the same thing about the DDRD's. Now, last year we went to Disney World for our honeymoon, and we used the Disney honeymoon registry. In doing so, we received a gift card, which contained all of the money that our guests had contributed to our honeymoon account. We soon discovered at Le Chefs de France at Epcot that while it was possible to pay for things like drinks with the honeymoon registry, our waitress told us that she could not add gratuity with the card. We instead had to pay cash for the tip.

As a result, we are going into this year's trip with a wad of cash for gratuties, under the assumption that our Rewards Card will work the same way that our honeymoon card did.

Hope that helps!

Is it kind of like Wolfgang Puck's QS place in DTD? You go up to the counter yo order but then servers bring out your food?

We will be going in Sep for 25th anniversary/birthdays, etc.

Have never done Cindy's Royal Table or Hoop-dee-doo, and want to do both this time.

I know gratuity is included in these with the DDP, but does that still apply with a party of 6 or more?

Or should I expect to have extra gratuity tacked onto my tab?

Okay, I tried to wade through 88 pages of Q&A, but I gave up.

If I'm going to Disney with three families, in three rooms, all on the Dining Plan, and our party is (obviously, I'm sure) more than 6 people...

Since they have to split the check for the three rooms on the DP, is there any way they can put the full 18% tip and any extras like drinks on MY receipt, as I am paying for the vacation? Or will I have to add up all three receipts to figure out how much to pay?

Thanks...

When you get your receipts, the tips will be split out between the three receipts. You can just give them your card and ask them to use that to cover the incidentals.

I have a hunch that the extras will be easier than the tips. When ordering appetizers and special drinks, just let them know to put them onto your bill. That way it's just the tips that are on the other two receipts.

The tip is included for those two places wether you are on the dining plan or not. And it won't matter how many people are in your group becuase the tip was included in the price.

Nope:

When you order your food and get your ticket stamped, you wait for the food and transport it back to the table yourself. The "servers" only come into play:

Pepper Market has "servers" who bring your silverware and refill your drinks.
That's real (stainless steel) flatware, and your food is served on real plates.

Thank-you very much for the info.

I figured this was the case, but wanted to be sure before I get there.

i booked the breakfast this morning and after getting off the phone realized the prices looked a little higher than I expected...does anyone know if they automatically bill you for gratuity when you order the tickets? Thought maybe that was it.....Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe tax is included, but not the tip. However, if the reservations are between now and July 12th the "seasonal pricing" surcharge applies and they add $4 to each adult meal and $2 to each child meal.

Yes, the tip is included.

Thanks! I was hoping the price didn't change or something..that's all I needed to add another $50 to my already inflated budget!!!!!!!!!! Glad to know it's all taken care of and I won't have to worry about a thing that morning....besides getting there on time of corse!!!!

I don't believe the tip is included in the price you see on the menu. But they do add it to the bill at the end automatically.

I know that an automatic 18% gratuity is added to your bill when you use the TIW card.....but is that 18% calculated off your total bill before the 20% discount is applied? Or do they give you the 20% discount first, and then calculate the gratuity based on the discounted meal price?

Knowing how Disney likes to squeeze a penny out of anything, I am assuming that it is the former not the latter, but am hoping to be pleasantly surprised!
