I was listening to a recent DIS:Unplugged show last night and it got me thinking about what I'd be curious to know about Disney parks. Not stuff that matters to most people, and not stuff that's easily looked up.....but stuff that a WDW fan(and self-admitted weirdo) would find interesting.

Such as...

-On what day in Magic Kingdom history did the park reach capacity the fastest?
-What is the worst-selling snack item on the entire property?
-Who are the most famous people to ever visit the parks and NOT use any kind of VIP services(they just stood in line like everyone else)?
-Which character lasted the shortest amount of time in terms of being available in parks for meet/greets?
-What is the longest wait time ever recorded for an attraction that wasn't having technical issues?
-How many different people have been Mickey Mouse in the history of all the Disney Parks?
-Besides the three obvious ones(Emporium, Mouse Gear, and World of Disney), which store on WDW property generates the highest level of sales?

Those are the ones off the top of my head. Anyone else out there have any WDW curiosities?

Those are some good questions, many which would be very hard to answer.

1. My guess it would have likely been a holiday like New Years. What year who knows. Things have changed so much over time with phased closings now.
2. I have no idea.
3. It would have had to been in the early days of WDW because I'm pretty sure every celebrity uses VIP now.
4. This one we might be able to find out with some research.
5. Probably more than we think.
6. My guess would be one of the main stores in DHS.

My questions to add are

How many people take the monorail, bus, or boat in one day?
Other than Mickey Mouse, in the history of Disney parks what is the most popular meet and greet?
Which Disney park has had the highest amount of people in it before hitting capacity?

GREAT thread, and GREAT questions so far!!

Here are mine, could probably come up with more, if I "germinated" it for awhile. LOL

How many couples have gotten married on property (I assume they would only have an accurate count of FairyTale Weddings)

How many people have stayed at least 1 night @ each resort?

How long is the average resort stay? What's the longest? What's the most anybody has ever paid to stay?

I'd LOVE to see a list of all celebrities that they know that have been there (if not playing incognito)

Or..."consummated" a marriage in the parks? What is the spot of choice?

Also...

How many potatoes are needed for all the french fries that are cooked in WDW each day?

How many different costumes each has Mickey & Minnie appeared in at the parks?

What is the total number of people ever banned from WDW?

I'm sure I could come up with a lot more, with some deep thought.

I ran into a canadian family that was staying on property for 3 months in 2014. The transient laws as I understand them are actually pretty easy to establish in florida that your not just visiting the hotel but it's your residence so this bring up my question of has anyone ever claimed a disney resort room as their residence?

It has to be FEA. I've heard of long lines but not over 5 hours long before. If the people that picketed that mr toads wild ride closed count they waited the whole day and never got a ride.. My guess is it has to be something related to somethign closing but not an attraction. People waited what had to be 8-10 hours for the last MSEP to ensure they had their perfect spot.

Wow what a great thread and very good questions! I'm curious about all of these and look forward to seeing the answers. I think you guys covered a lot of questions and lots that I Have wondered.

How many individual fireworks are used in a single night for all the Parks?
