i would love to join. Not exactly sure when we are going to go on a trip to Disneyland but hoping it willeither be early December this year or 2013.
There will be 5 of us, me and 4 kids plus also my mom. My mom is paying her own airfare and half hotel, and half food.
I am guestimating of costs right now lol
airfare-$3500
hotel -$900/2 so $450
parkhoppers- free through airmiles
transportation to and from airport-$140
food-$1000
spending- 400
total- $5490
it would be 5 day parkhoppers and 7 nights hotel, we are thinking about staying at parkvue which includes breakfast so that will save some money, not sure if the budget is good lol. Have only been to disneyland 1 time and that was also inlcuding other stops and was in 2009 and then by myself for business to disneyworld.

I have saved or paid a payment so far of about $2000, and I have about $685 sitting waiting to be applied, or just waiting for WDW packages to come out! Plus I have the $1500 summer money coming July 6th.....so that's a total of $4185 saved?

We are trying for a Halloween and Christmas trip!

We need about:

$200 Disney Party Tickets
$300 Hotel (not sure where yet, but have been pricing)
$350 Food
$150 Gas
$60 for dog boarding

Total of $1060

We have about $400 check coming from reduced property taxes wohoo!

I've been trying to cut our monthly grocery bill by about $100-200 as well.

I have recently decided I need a solo trip. The reason it is solo is that my husband does not travel with me at all. He would rather go hunting. And now my normal travel partner (my daughter) gave me the best gift of all. A grandson. He is a miracle. My daughter was told that she may never have children due to having cervical cancer. And due to hospital bills (grandson spent first two weeks of his life in NICU) money is tight. I am helping her out as much as I can. Her so called boyfriend - well that is another story - is not much help. Sorry, for straying off subject.

But my goal is to go either October 2014 or right after Thanksgiving 2014.

My goal budget is $2100. I padded the amount due to prices will increase.
Right now I have $107.76 in savings. I have $20 going into my savings every two weeks and I vow not to touch it.

So only $1992.24 to go.

Goal: Gas $500. From TX in my daughters Fiat 500

Lodging: Timeshare trade, so II, RCI fee $249 or less (hopefully DVC again)

Meals: $1200 for 10 days and 2 driving days (Most likely MUCH less, but may try DxDDP)

Tickets: $516, military tickets, + any other things we decide to do. So, $1500.

So goal: $3500, saved at this point, don't laugh.....$50.

There are a lot of ways to cut this budget, but this is if we do the length and type of trip we want to take.

Don't worry about not having dates. Heck, my trip is imaginary at this point. My next trip isn't until December 2014. My last trip was October 2011. I am not sure I can go 3 years between trips. Plus, I have to go to NY for DH's cousins sweet 16 and that means I have see my MIL that hates me. I think I deserve a Disney trip after having to deal with her. So I am trying to stash money away so we can go. I haven't told anyone yet though.

This sounds fun! I've started saving towards a trip for me and my kids for August 2013. I've got another trip planned for Nov, but just me and a friend, a short trip for my birthday, so not going to worry about saving for that one. It shouldn't be too much!
Anyway, I'd like to have at least $3000 cash set aside by next summer - more if I can as I was going to let DD bring a friend.
From cashing in my credit card rewards for Visa gift cards, I already have $875. A couple of months ago I also started collecting all $5 bills I came across, and put it in a jar. Between that, what I've found in the laundry, cashing in change, and grocery money I saved by doing a pantry challenge for a month, I have $297. And I've been decluttering and selling things on ebay over the winter, so my Paypal account is now about $500, so that makes $1672 already!
I'm going to do a yard sale in the fall to add to the fund.

I'm saving Southwest points for our airfare, and went ahead and bought park tickets before the price hike. I also have Universal tickets I bought at Costco last fall, so the cash will be for lodging, food, and extras - maybe DD will get her wish to go to Discovery Cove!

I don't really have to deal with MIL. I am in FL and she is in NY. When I say she doesn't like me, I mean that she has yet to acknowledge that DH and I are married. Like not acknowledging it will change anything. I will avoid her at all possible moments. But it is a 23 hour drive to NY from here with a toddler. After that we will all need a vacation.

I would LOVE to go in October of this year but I'm pretty sure DH will file for divorce if I do . I have an AP that runs out at the end of October and a TIW card that will expire in April so financially it would make the most sense to plan one more trip to get my use out of them but DH just sees it as an ADDED expense. I would save over $400 if I went this fall & we wouldn't have to take DD out of her FIRST year of school UGH! We'll see. If the fall trip doesn't work out, my next trip will be next fall with DD for my mother/daughter trip with her.

I have an unconventional way of saving I guess. I use credit cards. I have $115 saved up in rewards so far and just signed up for 2 more cards which will give us another $550 in rewards when all is said and done. Soooo...
