I have mixed feelings about this whole mindset about weight.
Obesity is certainly a problem, but we can go to extremes in trying to curb it, and in doing so, we create a generation of anorexics, which is much more dangerous than being overweight. And if we would get the kids off the video games, the WII, etc., and outside to play, they would not be fat.
But I digress.....
As to the princesses, there is a difference between what our kids see in cartoons, etc., and what they see in real life. We can always tell them that a cartoon princess is not real.
When I've been in DL, the princesses I see walking around or in the character meals are not super thin or overweight. I think this has more of an effect on kids.
