Somewhere at DAK?

Entrance sign to the Camp Minnie Mickey area? (I know it's related to Camp Minnie Mickey, but don't recall if it is the entrance sign, or the sign directing you toward it from the central hub area of AK.)

We have a winner! Good job!

Thanks. I always get kick out of that sign. I'm not sure why - maybe it's Mickey, Donald & the nephews hanging on, or the spiky bear fur, but it just makes me laugh.

I can post a pic later tonight, but if someone has one ready sooner than that, go ahead and post it. (I'm busy trying to decide on my votes for ADRs - trip is now almost to the 180 day mark. On a related note - anyone try Marrakesh in the World Showcase? I'm hoping that the food is good, and the belly-dancers just an added bonus.)

I'd like to hear what others think, but the food at Marrakesh is pretty good. The flavors are a bit toned-down, though. I like to ask the server about how "authentic" a certain dish might be and might ask them to kick it up a little. I find the menu to be fairly accessible, though.

We went to Marrakesh last trip and enjoyed it, even DS enjoyed it. The Morrocan beer was pretty good. The belly dancer performs in the middle of the restaurant so it is difficult to see her if you are not up close. Not that I was paying any attention or anything. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Yeah, the belly dancer had no bearing on my vote, either. ;) I'm hoping to include Marrakesh as a food stop in my "Drink Around the World" day.

We've been to Tangerine Cafe a few times and really like it... But mever to Marrakesh. My 2 cents of advice...

Book Le Cellier, or Teppan Edo, or Chefs De France, or Askershus, or Biergarten.

Now I didn;t say eat there... I just said book it.

This leaves your option open to have one of these meals. And it gives you time to decide whether you want Marrakesh or not. If you do decide, then simply cancel your other ADR. As Marrakesh generally will accept walk ups, but a very minimum be available to book a week out.

I just tried on the Disney reservations sight to get a dinner ADR for 4 at 6:30 in 2 days from now, and it is available.

If you do choose this route, be sure to cancel your original ADR.

I am fairly certain that we are going to be doing Biergarten - DW loves it (and I enjoy the 1L beers!), and our next trip is a birthday trip. I don't think the others are on the agenda for this trip - and DW is unlikely to go to Tappan Edo, since she has a pretty significant shellfish allergy, and is a little concerned with cross-contamination.

Hey, someone else should have put up a pic by now!

My wife is also allergic to shellfish.

Before they started cooking, he asked if there was anyone with allergies, and my wife told about hers. He cooked her entire meal before putting the rest on the grill.

And yeah, Where's the next pic????

SAHDAD is up, but Im thinking I want to see some pix of these belly dancers everyone is talking about....just sayin.

While we're waiting, this is from a bit of distance so the quality isn't that great.
