Okay so, where are we here? It is bright and early on the day after the Emergency Room debacle and DH has now joined us and things are looking up! I am the first one up and having requested a coffee maker we are brewing some Starbucks Columbian to start our day right! I am ALWAYS the first one up because I am eager to be here and see what each new day brings in the Magic! (I'm a little naive! I like to start each day with happy thoughts!) I start rousing the crew (shushing everone not to wake the baby!) By this time DD15 is not feeling well and begs to remain in bed. I am also feeling a sore throat coming on, so I take a dose of the flu meds and make some for DD15 as well. Of course, she does not drink hers as I find it later virtually untouched. (DD15 considers herself a vegan in the making, but does not want pharmaceuticals altering her body chemistry! Hmmm? Must be all those "Just Say no to Drugs" campaigns since elementary school.
I volunteer to stay in the room and nurse our 2 little sick "chicks" and tell DH and DD9 to just run along to the AK and have fun. We will try to meet up with them later. We have PS's for Boma's for 7:20 PM. Off they go! No arm twisting required!

Now keep in mind that although DD2 has thrown up the night before, those were the only symptoms she was really exhibiting... Absolute no fever, so I was not convinced that she was really "sick" yet. Maybe a little cold, maybe something did not agree with her tummy. I thought maybe she had drank her bottle too quickly and took in too much air. (These were all possibilities...) But today, she refused to drink from the bottle so I was reduced to getting liquids into her with a medicine dropper. My pediatrician had told me to keep her on clear liquids and no food for 12 hours. (I did 24 to be on the safe side... and thank goodness she never did throw up again!)

I spent the day nursing those 2 and periodically sitting on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather. For DD15 I walked over to Captain Cooks and found a nice light sandwich for her lunch. While I was gone, the Front Desk Mgr. called to inquire about DD2 and how she was doing. I returned the call later and thanked them for their wonderful response to our Emergency!

Here's a Link to the Part I left out!

The time just flew! Before I knew it, DH and DD9 were walking through the door and I was supposed to be ready for church. OOPS! I wasn't! DD15 begs to just stay in bed, so I run back to Captain Cooks for some dinner for her before proceeding over to AKL by car with DD2. (DH and DD9 used the other car to make it to church.) The plan was to meet at Boma's by 7:15PM. Well we end up being late by at least 1/2 hr due to traffic. In fact, as we were unloading at Valet, DH and DD9 both walk up from the parking lot! (Timing is everything!) ...

The CM at Boma's gave us a beeper and said we would be worked in... expect a 30 minute wait. This was quite allright by me, since I knew, once again, we were LATE! But 2 minutes later as we were sitting down in the waiting area... our beeper goes off! GREAT! Once again we enjoyed the bountiful and beautiful offerings at Boma's... one of our favorite restaurants.I did not have any "Adult Beverages" as I felt it would make me too sleepy. No one really seemed to have an appetite that evening so we were finished in less than an hour. The Christmas Decorations were up and we wanted to spend some time exploring. The tree was Magnificent!

We loved exploring this beautiful resort, so we went looking for the savannah observation deck. It was rather nippy outside and a wonderful fire was in the fire pit just outside the back lobby.

The view looking back from the fire was incredible. What a beautiful RESORT!

DD9 and I sat in the rocking chairs and had the MOST AMAZING conversation with a family group of 5 that was sitting there enjoying the night (after having also enjoyed BOMA's). They were so FUNNY and kept teasing DD9 who was so gullible and fell for every story they had to tell! DH was strolling DD2 around inside as he thought it too cold to be outside with the baby. It was very toasty by the fire, but he preferred the inside rocking chairs... I love the way you can meet total strangers at WDW and it seems as if you've known them forever! They were so FUNNY! Two of the Men in the group got named "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" due to their antics! Somehow it was decided a sing-along was in order and they had DD9 lead the way.. when she broke into "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" they all JOINED IN! LOL! This was very funny... Several of the adults in the group were elementary school teachers and we started adding hand motions along with the lyrics! After that you couldn't stop us! Laughing hysterically in between songs, I check my watch! Wow! It was 10 PM! Time to head back to the POLY. This group called themselves the Higgins family and invited us to look them up at the BWV as they would be moving over for the remainder of their stay. Don't worry! If we are over there, we will definitely keep an eye out! Good Night All! I finally FEEL the MAGIC!

Don't you think? So many people go to WDW and don't stop just to "feel" the Magic. It is all around you. Sometimes you have to slow down to let it catch up with you!

Yay, now you get into the magic! Sounds like a wonderful evening. Thanks for the pictures, they are great.

was always there I am certain... I was just too pre-occupied or tired to let it get inside! The funny part was that the sing along was funny WITHOUT having had any adult beverages. WITH adults beverages, it would have been hysterical! (*However I DO believe the HIGGINS "family" had a paper bag with some malt bevs in aluminum cans!)
