Now I'm staying longer because my moms surgery is today instead of just right before the trip so I am leaving on fri late morning afternoon time depending if Jeff has to work and coming home on Mon morning.

PLEASE COME WITH ME! WE CAN DROP THE KIDS OFF SOMEWHERE!

I didnt mean out in the middle of the desert eitherf!!!

I think I might reapproach DH on this one. Things are a bit more stable at his store now (and sorry to all those who think I am being last minute and should have thought about this sooner...a week ago his store would not have been ok, but we just promoted two managers this week...if you have ever dealt with the restaurant business you would understand)

His mom retired, I wonder if I could convince them to watch the kids for the weekend, it would be what, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday....then DH could still work and get a break...I wonder if he would go for it???

Seriously though, is there still a piece of unclaimed carpet I could sleep on, I don't want to be a complete pain in the rear, but it is worth mentioning to DH. I asked him about it day one and he told me if I took the kids I could go...what if I could sell the kids ...don't know what his parents are doing either on the weekend...hmmmm....

Really, I will ask DH what he thinks after the lunch rush, and see what his parents are doing that weekend. I am thinking that I could drop the kids off Friday (before you would want to leave), and then jump in your vehicle (wow, I am usually not this pushy and demanding ). DH could then work the shifts he needed to, would probably have the coverage for me to be off...I wonder what he would think about all this??? And...I don't know for sure if his parents have plans at the moment. Ever since they retired they seem to travel a lot more. So...I really don't know at this point...

First of all paradise is ALWAYS busy and secondly they only allow him so much labor. He finally got it under control to whatever percent I believe 21% and now they complain its no t enough people. I swear what looks good in the board room doesnt always look good in the real world but they blamed it on dh NOT on their lousy budget. I'm sure t hey will ask even more hours out of him too now. GEESH.

Anyway, his mom lives down here right? That would be aWESOME! Ever;yone will be coming who lives stateside!!! I guess we will let Christina off the hook for being in Scotland and all!

Ask him and dont feel bad I am the queen of flip flopping on this trip so no worries! We want you to come no matter how you plan it out

dont worry you are not being pushy I told you to come with me! the hotel room is like $80 a night so split that in half then we have an accord! heck I dont care if you even pay for it JUST COME!

That sucks Jeff had a bad visit...and I completely understand. John is not held to a labor percent, but rather he has a formula based on sales the tells him how many hours he is allowed, and you know what hits the fan if he does not meet that standard, or if he is "understaffed" during a rush And of course it is always the fault of the manager Hopefully they won't work the poor thing too much

I will have to make some phone calls though, I know I could handle being off for the weekend, I just don't know if I could work it out. The good news is his parents would totally go for it assuming they had not made plans already...they have NO problem watching the kids with even a seconds notice, and honestly I think DH could use a break from it all (granted that many days may be a bit much )

Ok let me still my beating heart. my mom is doing fine. Not sure they got it all corrected t hough he said as my mom has a ton of leftover scar tissue. Wont go into it but another bone fusiion might have to happen if this doesnt hold.

Can you call the ILs while you're waiting to speak with your DH? That way you'll already know whether or not they can take the kids...

Or do you want to clear it with your DH first before asking them?

Sorry Lynn. Like I explained in my post, a week ago there is no way that I would have been able to go. Things are much more stable now at DH's/my work. I am going to ask if his parents can watch the kids. So I am still a maybe but hoping

I have not been paying too much attention in the past, but Shawna just told me that she had her own room, so not sure beyond that.
