I just read through what I missed.... Hugs to all who needed them, congrats to all who deserved them, and Happy Birthday, Cassie & Linda. I hope I covered everything.

Ronnie Jo, I like it longer. I think you look younger in the second picture (not that you look old in the first one). You remind me of a young Joy Philbin.

WDW was wonderful. We had perfect weather...and dare I say a HOT on Saturday. It was great to get away for a bit, but now getting back to reality is very tough as I'm sure you all can relate to.

Bets: diet cola cake...


1 box of any kinda cake mix* (I buy whatever is on sale)

1 can of any diet soda*


Blend in mixer. Put into 9x13 cake pan that has been sprayed with PAM. Baking time will vary by oven...just keep checking it until it has a brownie/cake like texture. Cool. Top with fat free CoolWhip


* for chocolate cake use diet cola
for yellow/spice cake use diet root beer
for white cake use diet 7up or any flavored soda you like

Kate bought a "Birnbaum Disney for Kids" book last week..she has been POURING over it planning our trip..she has a schedule...she wants to be prepared for the trip...


like the kid hasn't been to Disney 5 gazillion times!!

my kids LOVE the "diet coke cake" - although if I use a mix that has pudding in it the cake comes out soggy (even if I over cook it). Funny, I was just in the grocery yesterday looking at mixes wondering what I should make next ...

What an interesting recipe. Being a diet coke addict, I am going to have to try that. Does it taste like regular cake, or can you tell there is soda in it?

We don't really eat much dessert here...we usually eat dinner too late to bother for one thing. DS won a cake in the cake walk at his school's spring fair last weekend....he picked out some chocolate with chocolate icing + extra double chocolate chunk type thing....WAY TOO SWEET!!! He loves doing the cake walk thing tho (probably 'cuz I don't ever bake so he feels like it's extra special to win one).
