G'day to all the Dis Dads. I have only just seen this today, and am a newbie to the Dis. I would like to join the rather extensive list of Dads on the boards and be a Dis Dad myself. What does it take and what do I need to do?

I haven't read the 3640 messages before this one with the exception of the first entry and I must say that I would cover at least half of the criteria. We have not been to WDW yet (DL a few times), but are planning a big trip there next year plus a cruise.

I'll pop in from time to time and say g'day when ever I can.

:upsidedow

Consume a Dole Whip for me and have a blast! :thumbsup2

We're off to the MK today, and oh yeah, I will...

Yeah man, have fun......
It's been great. Today is our last day of this short trip. 4 days can so fast. We got here to the World around 10:30 Friday morning, and we leave around 5:00 this afternoon. It's been great.

Hey guys,
Haven't been around in a little while. Post Disney blues, little league, work, getting ready for the NASCAR weekend in Dover and getting ready for a family reunion cruise to Bermuda (not a disney cruise ) has kept me away. Welcome to all the new Dads and welcome back to some of the old ones.

Disney Fanatic I had a dole whip for you when I was there in May. First time I ever had one and wow was it good. Stoper1, I hope you and your sons had a great weekend and dvczerfs good job with the surprise. Emmasdad, once again it was nice meeting you at CSR. I think that trennr just booked a trip to CSR in July. I told him to check with you on where you stayed. I was not impressed with the Cassita's at CSR. I know that you liked the room that you were at an maybe you can give him a little better advice.

Take it easy guys, I will be in touch soon!

I did... and we did! Got home last night. It was a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

Now we're sitting at 122 days til we can return again for my birthday weekend getaway staying at Saratoga Springs and visiting Sea World and Medieval Times...and of course DTD and perhaps a water park. Not 100% sure yet what we'll do. :rolleyes1

following stophers trip report, looks and sounds like hes having a great time! im down to 127 days, even though i just came back 2 weeks ago, seems like forever!!

We did. It was great, but like any trip, no fun to have to say goodbye leave - though it sure was nice to sleep in my own bed again last night. Now back to reality and work... oh well. That's life, now isn't it?

I've updated my TR with lots of photos, and a bunch of info about our experience with the Star Wars Weekend we attended.

Have a great week guys!

Hey guys,
...I think that trennr just booked a trip to CSR in July. I told him to check with you on where you stayed...

45 days and counting :woohoo:

Allot of first for me this trip...
1st time staying onsite. (11 nights at the CSR)
1st time with a Dining plan. (QSDP) 22 Snack credits...wonder how many Dole whips I can consume with that? :drinking1
1st time since my honeymoon back in '94 that either members of my or DW's family has not accompanied us on a trip to WDW.

Wow Chris, loved the TR. We were at OKW last summer and it sounds like we enjoyed some of the same things about it. The big rooms, the water ferry to DTD at night, the pool, the theming. It was a great place to stay. Glad you had such a great time. Like you, I like the original of a lot of rides/attractions at WDW, but I also think some of them are in bad need of an upgrade. Too many of them are getting stale after so many years. I like the way they kept some of the old, but made it fresh at things like PotC and Haunted Mansion. Like you, I have loved HM since the first time I rode it as a kid in the early 70's, and still do.

Only 25 more days and we go home to Kidani for the first time. Can't wait to get there. This is going to be a more relaxing trip so we should be able to fully check out the resort. Thanks for the input from your visit. I'm sure I will have the opportunity to express my opinions about things there. Hopefully the lack of paint, etc. in the parking area will come later and was just low on the priority list so they could get the main parts of the resort open.

Well...my Disney Visa just melted. :scared:

44 Days out so the Balance was due.... :scared1:

But what the hay! It's now offical!!! :woohoo:

It'll be worth it...as they say, it's better to buy experiences than things.

Not so easy paying for it, though...:rolleyes1

You guys are all sick........and I'm right there with you! :thumbsup2 My 19 month old has been to Disney 4 times so far and we already have trips for September and December booked. Nice to see there are other "sickos" out there besides me.

Welcome to the club! Just got back from the World Monday, and are headed back in 121 days. Then again about 100 days after that with my folks (taking them for their first return trip in about 12 years - so much has changed since they were last there!). Throw in a DL visit the week after Thanksgiving... oh yeah, my DD was at DL/DCA for her first Disney visit when she was just 6 weeks old. Is there something wrong with me :confused3... I don't think so. :rolleyes1 My wife's family thinks I'm a bit obsessed..., but I'd just say I'm enthusiastic. :lmao:

Oh and to me, it sounds like you're raising your 19 month old right. :cool2: :cheer2: Way to go!!

Another sicko from Jersey!

Welcome aboard. We are going in July and are booked at Saratoga Springs and Bay Lake Tower for New Years.

That hasn't worked out for Jr. so far this year:lmao::lmao:

Maybe a new crew chief???:headache:

LOL...This has been a painful year to be a Jr. fan. There were signs of hope this weekend. I will keep cheering for him as long as he is racing, but he really needs to start doing something out on the track.

My Grandfather was one of Ralph Earnhardt's good friends, so I'm stuck with him:lmao::lmao:

But Mark Martin remains my hero....

Believe it or not, I fished a Bass Tournament and had Tony Stewart in the boat, and he was GREAT GUY!!! Nothing like his on track persona...

Hey guys, we're all a little sick:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:lmao:

You know, I'm sitting here watching this National Geographic Show on Gang Members...and NOT ONE of them has any male role model except other Gangsters...jeez, 17 years of Law Enforcement and it doesn't get any easier to watch...I really take this Dad job seriously, even though he's only 17 monts old....I hope that "certain directions" change

That must have been a lot of fun having him in the boat for a Bass Tournament. I have always liked Tony. I was really hoping that he would have pulled out the win on Sunday. That would have been great being at the first points race he won as an owner/driver.

Have you ever done the guided bass fishing trip in Disney? If not, you should check it out once your son gets a little older. The fishing is okay (lots of fish, but small), the best part is being on the lake in front of the Magic Kingdom fishing. I would love to have the job as a guide down there. After our last trip, I could have done a better job guiding then our guide did. I am still trying to re-teach my son how to fish the correct way.
