Sorry to hear that so many of the guys are still struggling with this weather. Hope things clear up for you soon!

If I can drag this discussion off of the topic at hand, to Disney World . . .

I'm planning on doing online check-in tomorrow, and figure I'll go ahead and note a room request on there (might as well see if it makes any difference). I think I'm going to request Building 9. It's the south Jazz building. It's near the playground, near the pool and Melody Hall without being right next to them (and thus noisier). And Squeaker is a big fan of jazz music and instruments, so I think he'll like the iconography.

Any reason to avoid the Jazz buildings? Is there another that's substantially better? Why?

Peanut Butter!!!

Xbox360 finally got the Red Ring of Death.

Been limping along the last month with pixilated graphics and sporadic red flashing light of almost death.

Silver lining...have an excuse to buy a new Xbox360 with Kinect. :rolleyes1

It cost WHAT!!!! :headache:

I had a 360 get RROD due to power surge, out of warranty but insurance covered it. I got a new one with Kinect from Target with the giftcard and just this past weekend "fixed" the old 360. It now works, don't know for how long but at least it works.

This is the one I have waiting to go in the sump pit when my other one dies...

we sell zoeller and liberty pumps. we also have a product that works on the water preassure of your house. as long as you have city water, if you have a well it wont do you any good. if the power goes out in your house, the water pressure from your water line turns the pump and keeps your sump pump pumping. if you depend on your pump, its something to look into. they also have a battery back up but there more a problem because you have to remember to charge the battery and service the unit and they can be real expensive. always good to have a spare pump, even if its not the best you can by or a new one. when you have weather like this, there hard to find.

we always made our room request at the time of making the resi. it seems to work out for us.(it could be just dumb luck) but we seem to get what we ask for if we do it as soon as we make the resi. rather than waiting till 10 day check-in.

Good news! The repeat thyroid levels were NORMAL!

:banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, guys!

Woohoo! :cool1: Great news!

Dave - Hope you guys dry out soon! They keep threatening rain here, but have only received less than an inch over the last week. I keep seeing the radar up there and think you guys are going to need an ark soon! :scared1:

Will keep the farmers in prayer.

Everybody ready to hear what our leader has to say tonight about creating jobs? Personally, I'm not optimistic of the outcome... of either the speak or the effect it will have. ok... soapbox moved back to the corner.

:lmao: well, the plan was we would go this september and go next september and go sept. and may for the next 5 years or so after that. well, i knew i wouldnt make waiting a year to go again so i had to make a resi for this may!!!!:lmao: this past weekend i was pleading my case to tammy that i cant wait that long and i want to get our points built up so we can do one 8 night trip at okw and a 11 night trip at okw every year. she said you dont have to sell her on the idea but wasnt looking forward to spending alot of money on a room. we have stayed at por about 14 years ago so we are going to go back again for a change.(dont get me wrong, if i can score a sweet deal again at the contemp, ill switch my resi.) and tell tammy when we are driving in the parking lot.:lmao:(ive done that a few years ago and lived to tell about it:lmao:) ill be there from may 12th till may 2oth if anyone is going then, let me know!!!:thumbsup2

I've gotten tired of both parties and their shenanigans, to be honest. When they had the scuffle over the GOP debate vs. the jobs speech, I asked my sife, "So whose vague, empty promises are more important?" :confused3 :rotfl2:

Sounds like you have your priorities straight! Football first. Then everything else. :rotfl2:

OK. New question.

Let's say I install Thunderbird. I configure Desknow as an IMAP server (easy enough to do), and have Thunderbird download the IMAP content from DeskNow. Any suggestions for migrating the IMAP data that's now in Thunderbird to a different Email server?

This step has been the crux of my problem all along.

Sorry for the delay.

If you set up a second IMAP account in Thunderbird for the Google email server, you can just drag and drop folders between accounts. You could do this for each account (6 total accounts in Thunderbird) and then drag and drop to your heart's content. For the Inbox folder, which will be there automatically, you can just drag and drop the messages between the folders.

ETA: Also, with IMAP, you aren't really downloading the messages from the server; they may be cached locally, but the canonical source is still the email on the server. The desktop computer is just going to be the gatekeeper between the two mail servers.

Great news Doc!!

T minus less than 24 hours....at 1300 (1 PM) Local EST, DisneyFed, DW and the G-man will be headed south on I 95 for the very long 3.5 hour drive to Disney for a week.

Not checking in until Saturday, but staying offsite and hitting Bass Pro Shops :rolleyes1 and DTD on Friday Night.

I really really really need the break, and I'm very much looking forward to it.

Does BWV have internet (decent), if so, I'll post updates!

Bring on the Dancing Feds....

:dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:

You missed one! :dancer: :lmao::lmao: Don't think you're getting much sleep tonight!

DVC members get free internet... otherwise, it's the usual charge for 24 hours. No wireless, but the wired speed was good. If you find your speed is CRAWLING, give me a shout. I got a fix for that :thumbsup2

And I'm off to my local scout council to have a "difficult conversation" with them about how I feel our Troop is doing living up to the scout law and protecting the safety of the boys...

All in all, I nice quiet day :lmao:

Do the right thing... This sounds like something you've been struggling with for a while. Good luck.

Never stayed at All Star Music, but I do know personally (and through some friends), when you don't make a building request, you usually get the worst possible location, and when you do make a request, you generally get what you ask for.

I have soccer practice to 6:30 and then home to watch football. I have given up hope. For the last 10 years, the wealthy have prospered. We have Fox News, CNN, GOP, Dems, and Tea Party to distract us from that.
