Um...hello all. I posted a picture of My Disney Princess in the Princess Pic thread and was redirected here to properly introduce myself.

I am a proud Disney Dad...I stopped reading at #45 of the criteria but am confident I meet a number of the criteria.

My name is Matt and I hail from St. Louis....

I am a divorced Disney dad who took my DD (now 7) to Disney for the first time at age 4 to give her something happy after the divorce rocked her world.

I have 50% custody of my sweet little girl and it works great for her...even better for me, but I would take 100% if I could convince my DX

I have been blessed with meeting a wonderful Dfiancee who has agreed to marry me.....in all places, Disney World. After our magical fairy tale wedding at Disney's Grand Floridian, on September 16th, I will have a Disney SS who is 4 years old and a huge Buzz Light Year Fan.

So, I guess I can be added to the vacation thread 9/11 - 9/18 of 2011 with a change in status on 9/16!!

The fam and I try to go every September.

Great to read through this massive thread and I look forward to participation in the thread!

Well...working a short week thanks to the Holiday on Monday...decided to make it shorter.

DW and Boys went to Dolly's Splash Country fo rthe first time this season...normally that would be a cue for me to take the day off and tagg along.

WRONG!!! DW's friend was going and taking her DD's... 9 & 4...both are a tad spoiled...and the friend tends to let others baby-sit for her.

You have fun with that honey!

Around noon today I thought...self...your familiy is off having fun and you are stuck here at work doing absolutly nothing...today is a good day to take a ½ day of PTO and do something constructive...sooo..self agreed and that's what I did.

After a stop at Chick-fil-A I went to our local theater and Thor was coming up in about 15 minutes...I'll do that. Pretty good movie.

Wish they could work a Thor 3D Movie into the Norway Pavillion.

in the past 2 days we've had a sighting of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and The Mystery Machine. All we need now is a Delorian and we'd have the 80s trifecta.

oh great, another tornado warning. im about to buy a farm and a small dog named toto. what the peanutbutter is going on.

I have a neighbor whose house was destroyed by a tornado probably about 15 years ago. He and a friend were inside watching a football game on TV and just made it into the basement stairs before the door was ripped from his hand. Both of them were fine, but the house was leveled, his polebarn was destroyed and he had grain bins that were relocated about a mile away. In all this his dog disappeared. About a week later they were there cleaning things up and the dog came running across the field. I don't remember what it's name used to be, but that dog spent the rest of his life answering to Toto.

I was holding out for Blue Chips - Ohio St. version

Shaq can't play football. I guess he could play the tattoo artist or car salesman though.

On an unrelated note, I ran by the theatre today after work to see how auditions were going. My competition for the role I want was there, so I stopped and chatted a bit. Apparently, he didn't think he did a good job (which I can understand, he really worked himself up for this part, he may have psyched himself out), and the director asked him to sing falcetto afterwards (which led us to believe that they were going to go with a drag Mary Sunshine like the Broadway version, which kinda bummed DW out, as she was leaning towards that part). He really wants Amos, but he'll take any part. I, on the other hand, am only interested in Amos. And if there was a lack of guys trying out like I assume there was, I have a pretty good chance. So, needless to say, I left there feeling pretty good. *fingers crossed*

Sounds like you actually used your pto for personal time, well played. Too often I lose days at the end of the year, often because I don't take the time off every now and then for some personal time... That will need to change!
