Thanks AJ. I thought there was something about intentionally destroying U.S. Currency.
Just so I know, when will the newest podcast likely be posted?

Josh is supposed to be finishing up the editing of the new podcast today. I'll post it as soon as I get back the final version - probably either late tonight or tomorrow.

DW's birthday was yesterday, and she loved the filing cabinet thank you very much (though I think she liked the lego set more). Of course, she did have to be a pain as well. I told her I was going to order Papa Murphy's pizzas for us for dinner. So I did that afternoon. Not 20 minutes later, I get a text "DD and I are going to go out for dinner with my coworker, she's treating me for my birthday!" Apparently, she forgot to tell me off this prior plan. Did not help my mood yesterday to say the least.

But it's Friday, I don't have to work at all this weekend, so today is bound to be better, right?

RIGHT????

TL
Of course today will be better... at least you got to eat some Papa Murphy's didn't you? The one here closed back in January... I miss that greasy deliciousness.

Alas, I did not. I put them in the fridge and had a sandwich. But, we're having them tonight, so that's something.

Cars: We own two Nissons. An 04 Altima V6 and a 98 Maxima V6. They're far and away the best vehicles I’ve ever owned (and the V6s insure that you have enough power to save you fanny when necessary). I drive the older one and at over 170,000 miles, it’s still my favorite care to drive. The 04 it the one we use for longer trips. It just turned over 100,000k and still runs like a new car. Both are paid for and I ain’t planning of replacing either any time soon.
Seem to be some happy Nissan owners around here. I'll give them a look. They really are some nice looking cars too.:thumbsup2

They really need to eliminate the penny anyway! Prices could easily be adjusted.

Blasphemy in the Land of Lincoln!!! :rotfl2:

Morning all -

Checking in before heading off to MANcation for the weekend. Meeting up with a bunch of old college buddies at a cabin a couple hours away to sit around a fire, have a few (read: several) adult beverages, eat meat, and reminisce/make fun of each other. It started out as a fishing trip so we had an excuse for the missuses, but now we don't even take our gear.

Cheers to you all, and if the interwebs are still working on Sunday, I'll see you then.

Indy

I hope you have far too much fun. I recall we used to do the same where we would bring our gear and go stand in stream for hours on end, until one year my buddy turned to me and said, you know we could be drinking beer by the fire right about now... gear got pack 5 minutes later. :rotfl2:

That's some nice restraint. You didn't even test a slice last night or partake of a pizza breakfast. I'm impressed. There would be slices missing before dinner tonight in our house.

Sounds like a great weekend. Enjoy yourself, but not so much that you get in too much trouble with the misses.

Ours get aways do involve fishing

....but that's in the morning before it gets too hot in Central Florida, then it devolves into 75 mph passes down the lake in bass boats

---then gets moved to the fish camp for a beer or twelve.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Have fun....

Out of curiosity, do you guys' wives not get it?? My wife simply does not get the allure:confused3:rotfl2:

Anyone going to see the new Pirates movie tonight? I'd love to, but I have a poorly timed Scout movie night tonight.

Tomorrow, spending the day at Baloo and OLWSL Training for scouts, may have to let the DW take the kids without me :sad2:

Certainly beats cleaning out the garage as a choice for weekend activities. :thumbsup2
Make sure you have entirely too much fun and we’ll see you when you get back.

So you get to clean out the garage this weekend. I've got to try and replace some door trim that's got some moisture damage, and maybe poke around in my kitchen ceiling to see if there's a moisture problem there too.

Anyone else got any "fun" weekend projects?

Hurray! The local paper wrote an article about the company I co-founded.
What...What! The quote they chose to use from me "when I wake up in the morning I think to myself am I crazy for doing this?"

Well that's not exactly what I meant....sigh

Hopefully this if it will stop raining for a few days. I've almost forgotten what dust looks like.

Well, the quote out of context is still better than the blatant mis-quotes that our local paper is notorious for.

:lmao::lmao: You just made my morning.

Thank You, I'm here all week!

I have a Hot Date with DW tomorrow. We donate blood tomorrow morning (I do double red) and then it off to see Captain Jack in #D Imax!

I may actually try to get into the “work” stuff this afternoon. The weekend will actually be consumed by a couple of non-paying gig with my church band closing out a local food/music festival (and then some BBQ at a school band volunteers “end-o-school-year” party a little later on), and rocking out again at the services Sunday morning. Then if all goes well we’ll get the whole family together Sunday evening to celebrate the May birthdays in our house. Should be an excellent weekend. :thumbsup2

We’re planning to wait a while and watch that one on board the Dream in a couple of weeks (along with several other films I'm sure). A Fine 3D theater with free food and beverages… That’s a win in my book.

Actually we got to see the world premier of the third POTC film (a few hours before it’s official release) when we were on board the Magic in 2009. Where better to catch the Pirates movie then at sea. pirate:

But they are talking about your business. That alone says good things about your future.
