For our November 2009 trip I started planning in April of 2009
For our November 2010 trip WE started planning in December of 2009
For our November 2011 trip WE started planning in October of 2010
For our June/November trips in 2012 WE started planning in January of 2011.

I think in the next month or two we'll have our trips through 2050 planned out as well.

the only drawback with moving to Orlando is no more trip planning..

Maybe I should start a never-ending TR....

"What do you guys want to do today?"
"I don't know, I'm kind of bored"
"Want to go to Disney World?"
"OK"
"Let me get my keys"

You know, missing out on the planning would be a heck of a sacrifice, but I think I could live with it! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

The rant/praise here AND in a separate thread.
and even though I am not IN the Fantasy Sports leagues, the weekly updates are fun.

Thank you. I try to keep them funny and sort of relevant, in a Disney kind of way.

You're always spitting Twizzlers on your screen. How many pounds of those things do you go through in a month?:confused3

That's part of the reason we're doing a deluxe for the first (and possibly last) time this year. That and a helpful pin code!:thumbsup2

Really? You want to call me out?:rolleyes1 Jasmine-trapped would have been easier to figure out than princess-trapped based on the conversation and pictures we saw in DDC IX and a certain picture that has been around for quite a while thanks to Barry.

Thank you and I'm sorry if we caused anyone to have a migraine or did any permanent damage to the Disboards this afternoon.:thumbsup2

:rolleyes1

I'm sorry... That really is a crappy day. I feel sorry for you, but if I didn't take it... well Stopher or Aaron likely would have.:lmao:

You guys are definitely more like frenemies.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Twizzlers are my treat for my hyperactivity, are you calling me fat Andy? :lmao:

Nice! I spent my evening helping my DW get ready for her/DD's camporee this weekend - then getting some online training done... and bam, come back here and see this nice change. SWEET!

Woo hoo :cool1:

Freedom to discuss ALL THINGS DIS Dad related... and not confine it to 1 thread, that gets shut down monthly.

And recognition on the DISboards. It shows the DISdads, finally have respect, and influence.

Kinda like when you are dating, versus engaged, versus married.

People just perceive you differently.

The things you do when you are dating and married, are generally the same ;) , but when married it's a lot more universally accepted.

How the hell did I make that leap? :confused3

You are a wise Jedi Master :yoda:

[RANT] Can someone explain to me what kind of stupidity test you need to pass to become an "administrative assistant"?! Does it involving removing part of your brain? Seems to be the only explanation I can think of to explain the level of performance. And why can't I fire anyone? Is everyone protected somehow? And when did "single mom" become a badge of honor? Aren't you just divorced? Why "single mom"? [/RANT]

Phew. Feel much better now.

Doc, that's what were here for. I get it from my niece all the time. She thinks she is special for sleeping with a loser in order to get pregnant :confused3

Thought I'd post a random photo this morning.

After I saw Stopher's post in the last thread of the golf course lawnmower, I thought I'd post one of a "lawnmower" that was a little bit bigger. :lmao:
I was out mowing the hillside by the house yesterday evening and stopped for a quick pic. The lake in the background, is actually where there should be some corn standing right now. The dark area going up towards the top of the pic was all under water as of this weekend, so it is at least receeding, but still nowhere near ready to plant. It was kind of depressing when I saw ducks swimming in the middle of the field while I was mowing. Usually my only close encounters with wildlife while I'm mowing by the woods is deer.

Can you take care of my lawn while I am in Disney next week :rotfl2:

I hope The Disney Fanatic is happy with what he started. We sure have come a long way.

Let's hear it for the fanatic, cheers to you sir :drinking1

Then I realized I would probably land on several branches of the qualification tree.

I do have a question: Why isn't "You name your first born after a Disney character" one of the top ten qualifications?

Anyway, Emma's Dad, if you would review my request and let the Newb hazing begin.

Welcome Joe, no hazing. Just don't forget to carry Emma's Dads luggage :lmao:

I think I may have one of those too!! Hang on Ill be right back!!!

THAT is in direct violation of man law, see page 1. Where's FED :lmao:

Have you not found the DIS Dads Princess Photo Thread? There's the link!

Thank you sir

How could they make you fat if you're always spitting them out? :confused3

I would, but the tractor/mower is longer than our trailer so I can't haul that rig, and it would take too long to drive it all the way up there. Something tells me that they might not appreciate a tractor going around 465, so it would probably take a day of driving.:lmao::rotfl2:

It really does cut nice though, I cut my grass at 3" with my Exmark ZTR and I can mow right next to it with that thing and cut at the same height and just as clean. I'd probably just use it on my yard if I didn't have trees and crap to go around every 10' or so.

Actually, we'll be living about 45 minutes away and really don't want to over-do it, but seriously, who am I kidding. Let's get a pool going to see how long before our first park visit. Our first weekend there will be my littlest 4th birthday and we're planning a lunch (with all those who helped us move - wink, wink, nudge, nudge) at T-Rex in DTD, so that doesn't count.

I'm hoping to avoid the summer months and go when it's not so hot, but I want to make sure that I time everything appropriately because come the Holiday's, it'll be a weekly thing. Of course, I'll have to meet up with some dad's in the parks when they come around.

Might as well just get a lease on Cinderella's Castle I guess...

Yeah, our next "official" trip is Jan 2014, and we're intending on getting as much of the family and friends there that can afford to go. Thing is, I don't wanna wait that long to go back, so I've been thinking about doing a quickie trip for just the three of us.

However, now that we've been saying "You can come with us the next time we go", how many relatives will get cheesed off at us if we go before then?

TL
See, we have a job that the whole family does together that we use to pay for our trip to Disney each year. We figured that it was better than spending the money on bills or anything since we all contribute together toward it.
the only drawback with moving to Orlando is no more trip planning..

Maybe I should start a never-ending TR....
That's one of the reasons that I would not want to move to Disney. Er, Florida. Now we'd LOVE to move to Celebration and work for Disney. I'd love to work as a photopass photographer or a driver for the stunt show, but I know that they don't pay well enough for me to live there.

Need to win the lottery first...

Growing up, we had a mid-1940's Case Model DC that my dad first taught us to drive. He showed us how to get it into 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear and reverse in a standard "H" shape on the shifter. 3rd gear probably topped out about 10 MPH. About 6 months later, after we had some good practice time, he calls us both other and says "watch this". About half way between 1st gear and reverse, he jams the shifter to the left - a hidden 4th gear! And why did he keep it hidden from us? That old bucket of bolts could probably hit 35 MPH! Doing that in a 50 year old rust bucket was one heck of a thrill ride!:car::drive:

I've got a 1935 John Deere B that is just 1-2-R but it does have a Hi/Low range as well. It *might* top out at about 10 mph, but I can actually get it to do a wheelie taking off in 2-Hi. We really can't use it to do anything, but it is fun to get out and drive around once in a while. Those old 2 cylinders are bulletproof.
