Finally downloaded the pics DD took underwater. Here are a few of them.

Can’t wait until I am medically cleared to blow bubbles again.

Great pics and video, what camera was it?

The last page i read was 128, so I apologize.
BUT, I don't care right now.

The VP of my department (my boss) called me into her office today. I've been there 6 yrs, but still, when you get called into the boss's office at 9 am on Friday, you get nervous.

"boB, we're promoting you. You team is changing, so, we need you to be the leader in title, as well as in practice"
On my team of 10, there is 1 Account Manager (the team leader, as it were), Senior Account Coordinator (If the AM manages the client, the SAC manages the team members), and 8 Account Coordinators.
For 6 years, I've been patiently waiting for "my turn", and while always letting the powers know i'm interested in more, I've never let it get me down when people newer than I were moving up faster.

But none of that matters right now. I'm the NEW Senior Account Coordinator.

It's announced, but the old S.A.C. will train me until she takes a different internal position on June 13.

I've got my Balvenie 12 yr :drinking1

Thanks guys! I'm pretty stoaked.

Way to go! Its always nice when companies base their promotions on merit.

Not to mention tonight Mississauga made it to the Memorial Cup finals for Sunday.!!!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::woohoo:

Go Majors! Although I still miss my Mississauga Ice Dogs, I love wearing my Ice Dogs jersey down here in Raleigh, it scares people.

My son was struggling when he called us about this yesterday. He had just left Boss's office and was pretty well devastated. He had gained a tremendous amount of respect for Boss the past 6 months and this decision only amplified that feeling. Boss put the team above his own career despite being asked to stay on. David was going in today, on his day off, to help Boss pack his things and carry them to his car. Chapter two for him will begin Tuesday with the arrival of the new, interim Boss (Capt. McWherter), who served as the Blues' CO the past 2 years. Hopefully, they will begin doing air shows again in a few weeks. Now, it looks like we may be planning a trip to Rochester in mid-July but that may all change between now and then. Fly Navy! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Mike, my heart goes out to David. As soon as I heard about it I thought of him. Its sad enough for it to have to happen in the first place but for it to be "his guy", that's just a shame. At least with the former CO stepping in it should speed up the process of them getting up and flying sooner.

We have a mall here, with a crappy indoor amusement park.

That's where I'll be today.

BigTikiDaddy, I am sure you are familiar with it. So come by Woodbine Centre, and look for me, I will be the one begging the kids to leave, then they'll say - "But we just want to ride the train one more time".

or better yet - I'll be the one at the Horse Track across the street looking for Animal Kingdom. :rotfl2:

Isn't that the worlds largest mall? I wanna go ride that roller coaster!:worship:

Chamberlin
Russell
Dream
Robinson
Ewing
Walton

All played defense, could shoot free throws, were excellent passage and did more with less.

You're picking Walton, Ewing, Robinson over Kareem - the all time scoring leader in the NBA? Sad.

Morning Gents - Off to the FIL's for some ribs and adult beverages. Everyone be safe out there.

Cheers,
Indy

You guys get ready!! I will be posting a live feed from Disney's Polynesian facing the castle, on Disdads.com starting June 3rd. I will post a link here when I have it up. I don't know what the quality will be.. Due to the Internet speed but it's better than nothing!:woohoo: special thanks to Ajritz for setting up a page on his hosted website!!!:thumbsup2

Neat. I'll check in one night and see what is happening.

And now, for today's point to ponder:

What disease did cured ham actually have?

Congrats! I'll crack an Orval in your honor later this . . . . morning......:rolleyes1

Excellent taste in beer I must say....

We are driving into our small town this morning to do some shopping and I see this:

I hoping they are here to take care of all the bad weather we're having! :cool1:

I want one.

It took us a while to warm up to the majors after the Icedogs left, the who thing never made much sense....I still find the offical name "Mississauga St. Michael's Majors" really dumb, I don't care the history behind the name.

After yesterday's marathon session, we are not heading anywhere today...sorry, and I am avoiding like the plague that mall, if my girls see the rides, they'd flip. Hell, they flip at those beverly coin-op rides they have at the Square. My sympathies for you though.

So today's heat got me thinkin'......

Are there any other DisDads out there who are inherent sweaters while at WDW during the summer? I'm looking for some advice on shirts to wear. Last summer i sweated through the shirt I was wearing in, no joke, the walk from our room to the car on the way to MK. I'm thinking of getting some biking/running moisture wicking, quick drying shirts and then some golf shirts of the same type. I'm actually pretty good on the golf shirts, but was looking for comments on the other shirts.

Cheers,
Indy

I can't comment on this completely with WDW in mind since we don't do WDW in the true "summer months" (yeah, I'm here now, but it isn't technically summer... it's hot, but not July or August hot...) - but I will comment in that I use wicking t-shirts and golf shirts when I take all of the Scouts to summer camp in June, with wicked heat & humidity the past 3 years. They work great. I was kind of wishing I had one with me yesterday here. It was only 91, but I was definitely drippy. Had to wash the clothes already since I only brought a couple of each, shirts & shorts - there was no way I was putting on my work clothes for Tuesday either.

Wish I could help you, but frankly, I feel like I am a mass of sweat from June till mid-September...I don't handle heat overly well (but I'll take it over the peanut buttering cold anyday). I plan on packing a couple of extra shirts to be safe, this'll be my first summer at the World. Hottest I've been there was last October.

Thank you. I'm glad there are other beer nerds in DDC. Was lucky enough to split a Westy 12 with some friends last weekend. A buddy brought it back from Belgium. Such a great beer.

Cheers,
Indy

The best part, in a round-about way, is that I get PAID to be a beer nerd. I wear a lot of hats at the store, but the first and foremost is I am the store's "Beer Ambassador", and maintain the store's beer section. I just wish we could get our hands on more of the good stuff, but do what I can. I think I've had the Westie 12, gotta check my notes at the store whether or not it's been in, my memory today is spotty at best. My fave from Belgium is still Delerium Tremens, but it'll never get relaeased up here, too much "Political Correctness" BS about the name, because heaven forbid you slightly offend ANYBODY in this day and age...:headache:
There was just a release of Rogue beers for a brewery spotlight, and I grabbed a Double Dead Guy and a Chipolte Ale, to be consumed afterwards.

I normally wear Nike Dri-fit shirts, and have found them to work great.

Edit: they're dry-fit t-shirts, not running/golf shirts...

Beer Ambassador? I didn't know we had royalty in the DDC. That's awesome. I think a DDC Field trip is in order.

It's 82 today, little humidity, and a terrific cool breeze...it helps since the parks seem more crowded today than yesterday. I'm having dinner in a bit with a belly dancer...yep, I'm going to Marrakesh. Mmmmmmm.

It's almost over. I survived the MIL, BIL (the one that hates Disney), SIL, and their three girls. There were 5 girls under the age of 10 in the house. :scared1: The girls are picking up the toys before they leave.

Unfortunately, I drank all the beer in the house. It did help me get through, but we don't have alcohol sales on Sunday - another fine example of separation of church and state. I even turned to DW's Mike's Margarita drink to cope, but she caught me. I did get a new bottle of cognac after drinking to the promotion yesterday, but I was going to try and not open it. I need to go into the money making portion of the :drinking1 business.

Great pics and video, what camera was it?

It is a Canon A720 IS. A couple of things I liked about it: It is a handheld, automatic or full manual mode, and Canon made the underwater housing. Takes good pics on land too. I'll tell DD you liked the pics.
