I mentioned last week the little woman, or kinda little, uhh little but big, I mean tall hmm that's not coming out right ! Anyway
She is teaching our 1 year old twins baby sign language ( she saw it on tv, or Oprah I think, and bought all the books). I am sure you have heard how that sometimes identical twins can develop their own twin talk, between them. Well, apparently our two have developed their own twin sign talk! They have been walking around the house little arms and hands flailling about trying to tell us things and we can't figure it out, but apparently the other one knows! ! It is very frustrating, it was bad enough that when they did the real signs I would have to go the my wife or one of the older kids to come interprit, but now they are the only two who understand each other ! ! !
This is pretty awesome, from a language learning perspective. I mean, yes, the sign language, but the fact that the twins are developing a consistent language between themselves. I hope you can find a Rosetta stone of some sort to figure out what they are saying; it might give you a lot of insight into what is important to their 1yo selves.
alright dad's, I'm back, asking for more prayers. As some of you guys know, I've been looking for work for some time now. Well, a former co-worker (from 12 years ago) contacted me today to set up an interview with his firm. Here's where this particular crowd comes into play, the job is in Orlando!!!!!
I have some experience with theme park architecture, but that was a long time ago when I worked on IOA, however, this firm deals mostly in health care facilities.
Either way, I'm interviewing Wednesday at 1:00pm, so some good thoughts my way would be appreciated.
Wonder if my family will get mad if I stop at DTD for lunch?
I just want to say good luck; we're all counting on you.
In all seriousness, good luck on the interview.
And as for lunch at DTD, ya gotta eat, right?
Best of Luck
Tip: If there is a female interviewer, remember her name !!!!!

When we were in VA we ate dinner at Jungle Jims, cool looking place, food was OK (nothing to write home about) but they had something on the menu I've never seen or heard of, Hamburger with Peanut Butter

, Is this just something crazy on the menu or is this common down south
I would like, as a native Virginian, disavow this dish and all its works. Now, hamburgers with a fried egg on top is the calling card of a dive on The Corner by the University of Virginia, but peanut butter is right out.
Some time back, I was messing around with a date calculator and figured out exactly how old DW was on the day we got married. I then figured out on what day she would have been married to me as long as she was single. No, I don't know why... But I saved the date in Outlook for curiosity's sake.
That day rolled around today. I decided to buy DW some flowers in celebration of her spending half of her life with me. A friend of hers was over for Dinner tonight so I waited a bit to explain the reason for the flowers (it was fun listening to her and my DDs trying to figure it out though). After explaining it, I wondered what appreciation would come from my romantic gesture.
I got... "You're so Goofy!"
I'll take it!

Incredibly sweet. Well done, sir.
I was out sick from work yesterday, but was able to accomplish two things:
1. Got my parents Internet access, and an install date when we'll be there visiting for Easter. My parents are both retiring, and my mom will be losing her Internet access at school. So, we're getting them, as a retirement present, the Internet, the gift that keeps on giving. Or keeps sucking up time. Or both. We also got them an iPad (first edition). My job: get everything set up once the guys get the installation done on the cable modem. Busman's holiday for me.
2. Make a reservation for the wine tasting at Jiko for the Wednesday we'll be at WDW next month.
