Well post 2000 is here...should it be anything "special"...really? :confused3

I've been on the Disboards for 5 years joining in May of 2006. At first I was a seeker of info...but developed into a answerererererer.

Then in April of 2008 (actually tomorrow 4-4 will be the anniversary date) I found this interesting thread called the DIS Dads Club. Laughed my way through the symptoms of the affliction. and joined with a simple "Sign me up!!!"

Since then I have enjoyed these threads a whole lot...in a typical work day I found myself spending far too much time (as in I should be fired from my job amount) on the DDC thread.

I'm proud to be part of such a group of guys who love there families so much, and want to spend time with them at a place we all hold special in our hearts. I've made many friend here on the boards. And one Nemisis...maybe two...not sure that's legal though.

We all have our reasons to love Disney. I think my reason stems from my childhood memories made with my folks at WDW. And I hope to keep on making them with my family...and hopfully one day with grandchildren.

Being part of the DDC...I can stand a little taller with my Disney geekdom...as I know there are at least 500+ guys who are there to back me up and stand on the Bus/Monorail so that others may take our seats.

Now the bars are open.
FREE BEVERLY FOR EVERYONE!!! Enjoy!

Amen.

Congrats on 2000th, Nate. :yay:

Great posts like that remind me how honored I am to be a fellow DISdad Club member. We have a really great bunch of guys in here, even if some do like the New York Yankees or Philadelphia Eagles. :rotfl:

So much for all those preseason predictions of the Red Sox winning it all. GO RANGERS!

Yes indeed the 4 1day WDW Park Hoppers was the prize:cool1: Spending a total of $45 at the auction, I think I fared quite well since the tickets are valued at $544:woohoo:

We will probably use them on our 2012 trip, we want to go to the Star Wars weekends in June 2012:confused3, We already have 3day Hoppers with no Exp. date from a few years ago, so we could probably get away with just a room and use Visa Disney points for alot of dinners:goodvibes

Congrats!

Hey hey hey...no need to get ugly here.:lmao::rotfl2:

We leave in the a.m. It's been a crazy busy weekend... doing the last load of laundry now so that when we leave in the morning, the hampers are empty so we don't have that to come home to.

Have a great trip.

Nate, well said and congratulations on 2,000. I was so moved that the first round of Beverly is on me.

Few things to do before I goto bed...

Nemisis...have a rotten time on your trip. :thumbsup2

from post #1999
Rummy Break...500 Rummy...except we play by the hand...no running tally...he with the most point wins the hand...and the last game of the week is the only one that counts anyway...so we can be a winner all weekend.

We will be going there during Easter vacation, I hope this was just transition from winter to spring (I know some animals can't come out unless it is a certian temp) plus alot of the animals should be doing some shedding around know.

The last time we were there was Oct. and everything was well:confused3, but if it has gone down hill, being a zoo member for 5yrs now, I won't hesitate to write a letter with some pics.
I hope that it was just the transition as well! Aren't we still doing the disdad tristate meet there as well? That works out for me just great. It is only 3 miles from my front steps.
Who would you write a letter to? Mayor "nuttier than street" ?:rotfl2:

Congrats Trennr on your 2000th post!

Trennr, I would gladly take a glass of Beverly so that I can toast your post. Of course, I would then have to pour the rest on Captain Oblivious' head. (Nemesis and all, ya know.)

Is he the guy who plays the bongos under the bridge next to the zoo:lmao:

It would have to go to someone in the Zoo Association, most major zoo's are tied together:rolleyes1

As far as I know we are still doing the Tri-State Dad meet, haven't heard from Carl lately:confused3

Hello my name is Greg, I am from Louisiana. My family and I are DVC members (BLT). We have been to the world twice as a family and I went once in 1988. We are going again in July.
I am glad to find the disdad's club, I was starting to think it was only women on here. I don't mind that but my wife get a little upset when she sees me chatting with a woman (any woman).
I found out about this club through the podcast.

A big welcome from your neighbor to the north in Arkansas. Glad to have you here. I think its really cool that the podcast is getting out there, Good job to AJRitz.

For our travel agent Dads,

I'm looking for a one-way car rental from Fort Meyers Airport to MCO from June 26-29th. Any tips? You can PM me if you don't want to copy the group. Thanks in advance for the help!

Chris... The cheapest I've found was around $250 for the 3 days! :scared1:

I've usually have had good luck with priceline. I just got my FIL 13 days for $280. I would 'hold' a car in the meantime and keep trying priceline too.

Thanks for the welcome Stopher1. I am currently reading your daddy daughter tr. That seems like a great idea, to do a trip with one child at a time, but I don't think I could not bring the rest of the family. They wouldn't allow such a thing to happen, lol.
