Okay, so here I am with both of my sons. This was taken last year on Father's Day - the day we traditionally leave for Summer Camp. Both boys and I have earned some stuff since then, so our uniforms are slightly more decorated now... but you get the idea... oh yeah, and both have grown upwards since then, and I've sadly gotten a bit more rounded :sad1: since then.

Another great scout pic!!! :thumbsup2

OK… If I read this right, from the time I had to actually get to work up to now, We started with a request for pictures of the result of consuming out of date mayonnaise, progressed up to more satisfying actual pictures of bacon and tea, ascended to the lofty and truly admirable heights of Scouting and Young Marines and them descended back down to the concepts of clogged toilets and “Thunderbutt”.

Do I have that right? :rolleyes:

Is this thread awesome or what…
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's why I keep reading along. That, and posts like this:

OK...since we've gone there....

My co-worker (who is also my BIL) is known as ThunderButt and has this thing where he'll plant his butt flush on the hollow door to my office and rattle one off....It's quite loud and obnoxious. :rotfl2:

And of course, I REALLY want to see the video of this:

i work for an american standard dealer, i can do it. now, nobody can clog a toto toilet. that thing can flush a live chicken.:thumbsup2 ask mike, he has one.:thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao:

So, today was a most interesting day. I got to school around 7 and began to unlock all of the doors. My mother calls me around 7:05 (she comes up and stays with my son and takes him to school since DW works nights) and says, "I have a problem. Your oven just shot flames out of the front, and now the top element is burning." :scared1: So, I told her that I was headed home right then to check on things (I'm only 10 minutes away from home). I got about half way there and called her, and she said "it's still burning, do I need to call 911??" I told her to go ahead and I would be there shortly. When I got home, I could hear the fire whistle screaming and within 2 minutes a truck pulled up to our house. Before the truck got there, I went in and looked, and the top element was burning like a sparkler; really bright around the element and it was shooting sparks off in all different directions. Not a consistent flame, but still not a comfortable sight either. I went and turned off the breaker to the oven and it immediately stopped burning. That is when the fire department walked through the door. I hated to call about something that small, but if it had gotten back into our walls I would probably be typing this from a hotel tonight. Luckily, when you live in a small town, you know about everyone, and one of the two volunteers that got there almost immediately has kids at my school, and he reassured us that calling even for something as small as this was the right thing to do because it had the potential to do much more damage than just to the element. No smoke damage at all to anything but the element, but just enough excitement to scare the bejeebus out of you really quick :scared1: First time that I've ever been involved with something like this, and if it's okay with ya'll, I'd like to make it my last as well.

Other than that, it was a great day :lmao:

:scared1:

Now you do!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

You did the right thing, being in a small town myself I wear many hats...one of which is a fire helmet as a volunteer. Yeah, yeah I'm one of those nuts that when everyone is running out, I'm running in. We would much rather be called when it's a small thing before waiting til it's a big thing to be called. Breaker box was the perfect call. We have a thermal camera, so if we were questioning the presence in a wall we can peek into that wall without disturbing anything. Glad it worked out.

Eating hard candy helps me stay awake late at night. I've also travelled with someone that routinely puched me and that also kept me up. Candy is a much less painful option.

You've taken my youngest daughter on trips????? Kick kick kick.....

Mind you though, she'd steal the candy:lmao:

Welcome. I was also going to ask where in NC, but someone did that on a previous post. Was in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago. If your ever in the mountains, give me a yell.

Geez Greg!!!! That will get your heart pumping early in the morning!!! Sure glad it all turned out well!!

Hey again guys...Jacob and Allison were both to have surgery today. Jacob had his jaw fixed and is doing well. Allison's surgery was canceled due to increased WBC count. This evening she became septic and has been moved back to the PICU. Please keep praying for these kids. Allison asked Dale (mom) today if she was going to die.

Steve I am praying for them all - even though I haven't commented on them previously. What a tragic story. Thanks for sharing it and keeping us posted.

It will be a long road for all of them. Will keep praying for them for physical and emotional healing. Thanks for keeping us updated.

did you ever eat something, than look at the expiration date on the jar???? i just ate mayo that expired 6 months ago!:lmao: cant wait to see the result of this one.:lmao:

I have eaten mayo with a sell-by date that was nearly a year prior with no ill effects. Maybe keeping it refrigerated helps? :confused3

There's a business opportunity that you're overlooking. Dave and John's Vintage Mayo. Age it like a fine wine and then sell it to celebrities. Age it long enough, and mix it with Stopher's bacon (pictured below) and it'll make one really tangy BLT.

Since some may have missed this glorious sight to behold... here it is once again

Thanks for the update Steve. Keeping them in my prayers and thoughts here too.
