Well, I think this is my 3rd post on this entire thread. Somewhere on page 4, maybe around 100, and now. Just trying to catch up a little. Has everyone been on vacation for the past couple of weeks?? I've never seen a thread move this fast; hope that version 8 is being prepared because we'll be there soon. Headed to Nashville Tuesday to watch the US v. Paraguay, then I'm off to Raleigh Wednesday night through Friday for a conference. Hope to have a working laptop with me, but the last couple of times using it have been iffy at best. Like most of you, my tourney bracket is littered with red; maybe the winner should be the one with the most red, then I would actually stand a chance. Hoping for a positive result in the 2nd game this afternoon: Brooklyn Decker over Ashley Judd :lmao:

Actually 5th... but who's counting? :lmao::rotfl2:

Glad to have you back in Greg. Hope your trips are successful and as enjoyable as they can be. We'll be driving back from FL soon... I'll honk and wave as we pass through TN. Wish there could time to head over your way and say hello in person. Another time. Give my best to your lovely wife and cool kids. :wave2:

I've used the Poly club for our 3 about 2-3 years ago. It's a good size, they have lots to do (videogames, movies, crafts) & will give your kids dinner. They even did a good job with our oldest, whose issues were more pronounced then. I have nothing put positive things to say about the Neverland Club

i was staying caught up around page 132... but, I lost it.

This morning, the Reelz Channel showed Disney Storybook Vacations. Or calling it what it really is, an infomercial for DVC. Point is: I want DVC again. Stupid reelz channel...

I had big plans to hit Mega Millions, and spend some of the money on 400 DVC points. But, I didn't.

And, my teams are OUT, so, I'm done following the NCAA tournament.
MARCH 31st - OPENING DAY!!!! Go Cards! (It's an unofficial holiday in St. Louis)

Welcome To The Club:banana: (Canada,Liquor Retailer) Do they still make Yukon Jack Perma Frost:confused3 I haven't been able to find it anywhere in like 5yrs or more, I have 1 bottle left from the 2 cases I picked up from stores around the area when I heard it got Discontinued, And being in retail I know just because you cant get it in a certain area it doesn't mean you can't get it somewhere else:confused3

Holy smokes, in 13 years, I've never even SEEN that....I'd have to say no...for that matter, I'm not sure how Yukon Jack itself is still around, it barely moves off the shelf.

Hey guys, here is the first installment of our trip report for the Beaches - Turks and Caicos.

Intro:

This trip was a gift that my inlaws gave to us over the past year. They had been to this resort a couple of times and really wanted to share this with their gradnkids. Who are we to deny their request?

The players:
So there was a total of 10 of us that travelled together:

MIL & FIL (both in their 70s)
SIL (42)
DNiece & DNephew (10)
DD (7)
DD (6)
DD (3)
DW (29ish)
me (37)

We all live in the Chicago area and so we were able to coordinate travel from O'Hare to the Turks and Caicos through Charlotte on US Air.

We left early on Saturday morning (flight time of 7:35) so we were all up and at em by 5am!!!

Things went very smmothly on the trip out. We got on our flight to Charlotte and all was well, we even landed early. (Woo hoo!)

Once in Charlotte, we only had 1:30 until our next flight (even with our early arrival) which gave us all enough time to get comfortable, those who hadn't eaten were able to grab a bagel and next thing we knew, it was time to load up for the next hop.

I should point out now that our DD(7) is basically a boy. She is into video games, sports, and idolizes her boy cousin because of all the things he can do on his DS. So for this leg of the trip, the 2 of them sat together on the plane and exchanged tips and played their DS's for 2.5 hours of quiet bliss. Elsewhere on the plane DW and DDs(6 & 3) didn't quite have the same blissful quiet ride. No major incidences, just typical kids on airplanes stuff. "Mom, are we there yet?", "I can't see anything out of the window", "Can I have more graham crackers"... that sort of thing.
All in all the trip went smoothly and we landed in Providenciales. From here we were herded through the imigration stations and got landing cards that allowed us to spend all our money on their island. We then loaded into a van and off to the Beaches Resort.

I hear that about rule changes, my DS 3 changes the rules on his big brother all the time....and the big brother does not like it one bit.....

Now we where Turks and Caicos last year on a cruise, thought it was a nice island, although we did not spend nearly enough time there, the snorkeling was very good , water was nice and clear.....have fun!!!

Thanks for your concern over us getting snow. :rotfl2:

We love us some Cracker Barrel
Didn't see any snow our way, what about you?

Sunshine and a beautiful day today... until you step outside and feel the air.:lmao:

Don't know what you need to know about ESPN Club, but I've been there a few times. I like it, there's good food, somewhat reasonable prices. It is your typical bar/Applebees type menu. Plenty of TVs everywhere with sports on. They have a little gift shop and arcade attached to the restaurant as well. Once in a while they'll broadcast shows from there. Went to Florida with some friends in 2005 for a week to catch some spring training. We stopped by for lunch one day to see if they had any shows scheduled, came back a few evenings later for an Astros radio broadcast. We got a table by the stage and got to meet and get a photo op with Craig Biggio and Milo Hamilton.

Thinking about that week brings me to a moral delimma... we stayed on International Drive and went to City Walk just about every night and spent a couple of days at US. Our only ventures onto Disney property were to WWOS for a Braves game, an afternoon at DTD and 2 visits to the Boardwalk and ESPN Club... Can I add this to my talley as a Disney vacation even though I didn't stay on property or go to the parks?:confused3

Good luck to the Cards (but not too good ;)). Let's go REDS!

My eldest daughter changes the rules as needed to win any game played..she learned that from my dad...

Oh yeah, my boys do that all the time...

but really I wasn't referring to any specific game, but rather girly games like dolls, or tea party, or that kind of stuff. My daughter, and my wife for that matter, both believe there are "certain" ways to play dolls, etc... and I just don't conform to their mindset. Gee, I wonder why? I was afterall, blowing up troops of army men, creating volcanos and torential floods to drown them, etc. in my backyard as a kid, so why on earth would I sit politely now and simply dress and redress them, and talk about going to balls? Hmmm ???? Last weekend I was playing with my DD, and Indiana Jones and Darth Vader came to visit, and Darth Vader was Ariel's date for the dance at the Mos Eisley Cantina, while Indy was there to pick up Jasmine - sadly Barbie was left out in the cold, with no date at all. (serves her right for dumping Ken I guess...) :rotfl::rotfl2:

Doesn't someone have some big news to share? (that's already out on Facebook)

Another :thumbsup2 for the Neverland Club. They were great with both of our kids, including DS who was only three at the time, and whose ADHD was undiagnosed at that point.

In other news, we left Rochester, MN at 6 a.m. so we'd get home in time for the Jayhawks' Elite Eight game. Made with about 15 minutes to spare. Not thrilled with the way we're playing so far, but still confident we'll pull it out.

I hear that Kansas may be downgraded to a mid-major next year since that's all they seem to be playing against in this tournament.:lmao::rotfl2:

Not Kansas' fault that the three Big Least teams in the Region couldn't hold up their seeds. :confused3

And KU did beat a Big Televen team in the Round of 32 (by 14 points).

Yeah, but that Big Televen team was Illinois... they don't count. :lmao:

The Jayhawks are a good team, really can't say anything bad about them, just gotta keep you from getting too big of a head. My Big Televen team didn't help keep the mid-majors at bay either in that bracket. Coincidentally their first loss of the season was against Richmond and the last was against VCU.:rotfl2:

Good luck in the second half!

No snow what so ever. I swear the weather guys don't even have a window to look out of.

Has anyone ordered a custom cake for any of their kids b-days? I was thinking of having one for our first dinner at 1900 Park Fare.
