Have any of you guys seen the movie Inception? My DW and I just went out and saw it on Saturday, and I'm still thinking about it today. I haven't seen a movie that good in years. We wanted to go watch it again as soon as it was over.

Everyone I know who has seen it says the same thing. I must see this movie.:thumbsup2

I joined the Geocaching site today it looks like fun. We love to jump in the car and head in random directions and off the beaten path. We call it Hill-Venturing the geochaching will add to the fun.:cool1::cool1:

I have had both Garmin and Magellen GPS units I like the Garmins better I currently using a Garmin eTrex Vista HCX

Geocaching sounds like a lot of fun. One of these days, I'll have to get me a GPS and give it a shot. I've resisted getting a GPS up to this points because...well, I'm a guy. I don't need directions. But I guess it's ok if it comes from technology.

I'm still pretty good with a map and compass. Orienteering Merit Badge didn't earn itself! But, maybe if I had (and knew how to use) a GPS I'd go more places than just Lake of the Ozarks and Disney World.

Fed, Just curious if it is noon here, what time is it there:confused3. I noticed you are on at really wierd times:confused3

We're 7 hours ahead of East Coast Time....so it's 1900 (or 7 pm) here...

I check in during my day from the office (like now, it's 1048 AM) and then I also have my own computer and internet (which ain't cheap) in my room. Can't access Facebook from the work computer (OPSEC), so I always check it in the room.

I have Skype and MagicJack in the room so I can stay in touch with the family (which is very nice, in my other deployments I pretty much had nothing to reach out to home on---email and that was about it)...

I also don't sleep much...price you pay for being the boss sometimes...so I'm on a computer a good bit!

I tend to call my wife and son when she's on the way to work just so I can talk to them and start their day....every now and then I'll get her after work, which is late for me:surfweb:

It sucks, but it's almost over:thumbsup2

On another note, I have a handheld Garmin GPS I "play with"....:lmao:

I have a Garmin Nuvi in the truck, which I really like....and the boat, well...sometimes I think I rival your average U.S. Navy Destroyer:lmao: But I have Lowrance Electronics on it...

I DO NOT recommend Lowrance for handheld stuff...Garmin IMO does a better job with their handhelds.

I hope it's waterproof.:lmao::lmao:

It's primary day in Michigan and I will be working at the polls all day. I have been working as the captain of the City of Royal Oak for Rocky Raczkowski's campaign. He is running for the US Congress and will do a much better job than the "jack wagon" that currently has the seat. He is a great guy and a veteran who just got back from serving a tour in Somalia last September.

I am also on the ballot today in my precinct for a precinct delegate position. This is my first venture into politics.:thumbsup2

Only 33 days until I get to unleash the HollywoodStudiosexceptfor3rides-inator, smallworld-inator, Figment-inator, and Dinoland-inator!!!!

I can't wait for the back story!

Yeah, that'd be Mr. "Wow maybe I should just shove my boat on the trailer":lmao:

So the way I figure it you have a crew of about 5 people following you around with cameras just waiting for these things to happen? I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you have your own reality show on MTV.

Oooooorr, these photos are from government satellites.....which explains why a bunch of the pics are from overhead views:rolleyes1.

No, it's my so-called buddies with too many cameras:lmao:

We are looking at a hand held GPS for our sons birthday in Decemeber. He is a huge Scouter too. We have recently got into Geocaching and the GPS would be perfect for him to do that as well.

I like the idea of a handheld GPS. :thumbsup2 They actually did an introduction to geocaching at one of their camps. Any suggestions as to a particular brand or model that would be suitable?

It's official we will be staying at SSR Oct 16-23.:cool1::woohoo::woohoo:

Our Troop just started working, as a group actually, on the new Geo-Caching Merit Badge. My boys and I have had a lot of fun with it. Last Monday night we were, along with the others in the Troop that showed up, were traipsing around our town's downtown seeking out 8 different locations hidden around town. One was in an old cemetery from the early 1800's that I didn't even know existed. Pretty cool stuff. We have a little GPS unit, and I have a geocaching site link on my Droid that I've been tinkering with. Can't wait to explore and find more - especially at WDW.

I'm sitting at the airport waiting for a flight to Dallas for a conference for work. This may be the most annoying conference ever (and it hasn't even started yet). First, who plans a conference in Dallas in early August? Highs for the next three days? 100, 98, and 103! The agenda is mostly irrelevant to me - it's heavily focused on a narrow program area that I NEVER do any work in. And there's virtually no down time, the agenda is even packed on our travel days. Ugh.

Thank God for my iPad with 3G. (if there's no 3G connection or WiFi in the meeting rooms at the Gaylord Conference Center in Fort Worth, I may have to learn to sleep with my eyes open).

CRUD.

Out of touch for 3 1/2 days, 13 pages, and "utilized" over an hour of my employer's time catching up. Good thing my boss is on vacation this week.:thumbsup2
Welcome Back Barry!!!!!!

I missed you too, Tim. But was able to use the time away to renew my utter disdain for you. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!:thumbsup2
AWWWWW You are just too sweet!!!!!!:eek: :lmao::lmao:

Nah, that one didn't hurt much at all. DW was complaining that she didn't get any good pictures of me falling because she didn't have any warning that it was going to happen. I said: "Lady, you got as much warning as I did!"
So this one was "staged" so she could get a good picture.

The most painful one was while waterskiing. I think I caught the edge of the ski in the water. Next thing I know, I'm yanked right out of my skis, "running" about 15 or 20 feet across the top of the water, then going in face first. :thumbsup2
That looks like what would happen to you if you were tubing behind my boat!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Great shot BTW!!

What kind of 'games' do you play????? :lmao::lmao: pixiedust:

Apparently you've never seen a 15 year old boy eat...

I don't think they waste time with utensils when it's more efficient to just scoop and shovel with a bare hand. At least, that's how I remember it. Maybe this one has some manners?

That was a nice backyard movie screen posted earlier. I'd love to do something like that, but the bugs around here would just leave us as desiccated husks before the opening credits finish up. Really frustrating.

I've done some geocaching around here and it is fun, but I felt that it was almost cheating to use GPS. The pre-tech version is letter-boxing and clues required a compass, map and pace count. I guess I'm old school, but I wanted to teach my kids the basic before pulling out the tech toys. A map never needs a recharge! I think I'll check out the geocache lists for finds at WDW - my phone does GPS well enough for that. That assumes we aren't flat wore out from all the fun.

Basically, try to figure how it works...:lmao::lmao:

Seriously, we use it to mark Coordinates for search warrants, raids and training exercises---you know, preparation for using our bang stick toys:lmao:

If you want, you can walk 8 miles a day, pay $9 for a $3 hamburger, and play the it's a small world song on your iPod - it's just like being is Disney World!

Pin the tail on the camel.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Good one---but I thought you two were ArchNemesises (nemeses??)

Good question!

Is it nemeses; nemesises; nemesis'; nemesisi; nemesi?
