Just an observation...


Nah, that one didn't hurt much at all. DW was complaining that she didn't get any good pictures of me falling because she didn't have any warning that it was going to happen. I said: "Lady, you got as much warning as I did!"
So this one was "staged" so she could get a good picture.

The most painful one was while waterskiing. I think I caught the edge of the ski in the water. Next thing I know, I'm yanked right out of my skis, "running" about 15 or 20 feet across the top of the water, then going in face first.

My project for this summer was an outdoor theater. I had a TV projector with a DVD player built in so I built a frame out of EMT electrical conduit got some black out cloth from a supplier and they put seams and grommets on it so I could attach it to the frame. Its 12' x 9' the neighbors come over it bring your own Lawn Chairs and bug spray. I've shown Iron Man, POTC, UP, Cars, and Monsters vs Aliens along with the Fourth of July Fireworks from Boston.

I have wanted to do this for a while. We went to the drive in's this weekend and had a blast. It is in the Silverdome parking lot. The only problem we had was that in another section of the parking lot they were holding Midwest Motorcycle Fest. Mostly you just heard music but there were people on the mic and a variety of expletives to be heard.

We will get 10 -15 over if everyone is hanging around but during the summer people are usually off doing stuff. Bathroom thats what all those trees are for! Now to just talk the DW into letting me buy that Kegerator.

What do you think prompted the staged wipe out from the tube? My sister was driving the boat with her husband, and my wife and kids riding along. DW was still laughing as my sister circled around to collect me. I haven't downloaded video yet. Maybe there's something good on there.

He does lots of camping with Scouts. Plays soccer and hockey. Has MP3 player, camera, computer games... We were trying to stay away from any more electronic stuff. Unlike when I was a kid, he seems to have everything which is what is making it difficult for his Mom and me to come up with a birthday gift idea. I blame his overindulgent parents.

We are looking at a hand held GPS for our sons birthday in Decemeber. He is a huge Scouter too. We have recently got into Geocaching and the GPS would be perfect for him to do that as well.

Another quick question. Is Photopass worth it? I've been debating this with my wife and we leave tomorrow AM.

Probably too late, but we order Christmas cards from the photopass card (don't do the CD). It is a fun and easy way to send them later in the year. We have a Nikon digital (little square one, nothing with zoom or anything) and that works great for us.

I joined the Geocaching site today it looks like fun. We love to jump in the car and head in random directions and off the beaten path. We call it Hill-Venturing the geochaching will add to the fun.

Geocaching sounds like a lot of fun. One of these days, I'll have to get me a GPS and give it a shot. I've resisted getting a GPS up to this points because...well, I'm a guy. I don't need directions. But I guess it's ok if it comes from technology.

Have any of you guys seen the movie Inception? My DW and I just went out and saw it on Saturday, and I'm still thinking about it today. I haven't seen a movie that good in years. We wanted to go watch it again as soon as it was over.
