Sounds like either Sparky’s or Jimmy Carter’s. The Sparky’s, on 501 outside of Raines, SC, is still flourishing and keeps adding new ‘specialties’ (most recently Bike Leathers and even BBQ though I haven’t tried that yet). Carter’s didn’t make it. That one was in the median between North and South US-76 just east of Marion, SC. That was a major landmark for decades, but someone built a big Convenience/Gas/Fast-Food stop just a little bit beyond on the same island and drove Jimmy’s under. The remnants of that place are a sad site indeed.

Which BBQ shop in Conway are you referring to, you got me Jonesing for some?

SPARKY's...that's the one...I forgot Jimmy Carters was further down the road--hate to hear it went under though..:sad1: Haven't been that way in about 10 years or so...since I come up from Florida and not over from Columbia now.

Radd Dew's BBQ Buffet headed toward Bucksport out of Conway toward Georgetown on 701...big pink and black pig outside! Only open Friday/Saturday evening---get there early, all you can eat!!! Oh man, now I'm hungry:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

CRUD.

Out of touch for 3 1/2 days, 13 pages, and "utilized" over an hour of my employer's time catching up. Good thing my boss is on vacation this week.:thumbsup2

Sounds like a fun weekend ahead!! Like Christopher said, take pictures!
Oh, and as a member of the arch nemesis team, I hope you run out of TP and mistakenly grab a handful of poison ivy leaves instead of those nice maple leaves. Muahahahaha! :stir:
Sorry, DW insists that we stay somewhere with flush toilets. :confused3

SAYONARA! I hope your trip is filled with no cell service, a horrible cable connection, and a cabinet filled with nothing but Hannah Montana DVD's.

That was so sad! :sad1::sad1:
That is how I'm feeling... :sad1::sad1:
I miss Barry! :rotfl2:
I missed you too, Tim. But was able to use the time away to renew my utter disdain for you. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!:thumbsup2

Q. At Cinderella's Royal Table Barry's son was mesmerized by?

a. The Mickey waffles?

b. Eating in the castle?

c. Cinderella?

d. Princess Jasmine's breasts?
Yup, just my son. :rolleyes1

Ahh, the great picture reference. But, is this limited only to Barry's, aka Freezin, son? I guess we just can't let our DWs catch us in the act, and ----- photograph it.
Why do you think I hold the camera? If I keep winning on the caption contest thread (here, for those that don't follow it), you can expect to see that picture pop in eventually.

Don't worry, you can get him back with your Anti-Nate-inator. I don't know what it does, but it sounds funny when you say it.
Anti-Nate-inator: popcorn popper and butter.

Me worry? Never. I can handle a few little puffs of fake cheese, not in my belly, but in mid-air - unless they're coming up and out of a 3 year old's facial orifice that is. Then I just get grossed out myself. Oh and of course the Anti-Nate-inator sounds funny... but it really needs some numbers after it like all good weapons - so I think it's the Anti-Nate-inator 8000.
I assume you mean the Binford Anti-Nate-inator 6100?

October 2010, Pensacola, FL, and a 3-year tour as a Crew Chief with the

Well, I finally figured out the clues to my birthday/Christmas present this year:

Looks like I'm going 24 Laps at Daytona International Speedway with the Richard Petty Driving Experience:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

She had it booked, but they're repaving the speedway, so I have to postpone until January, maybe later....oh well...but hey!

Yeah, I know they have it at Disney, but I have to be honest....I've dreamed of hitting those turns at Daytona....and now it's gonna happen!!

Oh man, I can't wait!!!

DW went above and beyond this time!!
Sweet! You taking the minivan for a few laps? How will those spinners on the boat trailer stand up to 91 MPH? :lmao::lmao:
Sorry I'm a bit late, but Happy Birthday!

Welcome to the new guys!
It was a good weekend vacation. I'm working on sorting out the pictures. I'll probably do a short TR over on DisDads.com. I'll post a link when I get around to starting it.

Welcome back Barry! I'm looking forward to the report. Hopefully you didn't have to stage a shootout with the FBI when you tried to escape without paying your hotel bill.

Only 33 days until I get to unleash the HollywoodStudiosexceptfor3rides-inator, smallworld-inator, Figment-inator, and Dinoland-inator!!!!

My project for this summer was an outdoor theater. I had a TV projector with a DVD player built in so I built a frame out of EMT electrical conduit got some black out cloth from a supplier and they put seams and grommets on it so I could attach it to the frame. Its 12' x 9' the neighbors come over it bring your own Lawn Chairs and bug spray. I've shown Iron Man, POTC, UP, Cars, and Monsters vs Aliens along with the Fourth of July Fireworks from Boston.

Just the frame

That's awesome! Great idea.

A co-worker of mine did something similar, except indoors covering over their living room's bay window, and then he projects the Super Bowl and other games that way.

What's he into?

He does lots of camping with Scouts. Plays soccer and hockey. Has MP3 player, camera, computer games... We were trying to stay away from any more electronic stuff. Unlike when I was a kid, he seems to have everything which is what is making it difficult for his Mom and me to come up with a birthday gift idea. I blame his overindulgent parents.:laughing:

Sometimes I think "experiences" are the best gifts. Like, give him a weekend camping trip with just the two of you. Something he'll remember.

Maybe a swiss army knife, the one with everything.

Of course, I would have wanted one of these when I was 15;

:rolleyes1

Evidently there were a couple of reasons to go to Comic-con

Ummm.....Yeah, there sure are...:banana::banana:

Fishing Pole and some lures/baits....that's my standby, and if he likes the outdoors maybe he'd like to go fishing---or maybe a guided fishing trip at Disney? Sorry man, sometimes I'm pretty one dimensional:lmao:

Replica Jersey from his favorite Pro Soccer team would be cool:thumbsup2

Uhhhh, yeah....:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:cool1::cool1::banana::banana:
Fed, I noticed that all of the smilies you put on here came in pairs...
Just an observation...

Nah, that one didn't hurt much at all. DW was complaining that she didn't get any good pictures of me falling because she didn't have any warning that it was going to happen. I said: "Lady, you got as much warning as I did!"
So this one was "staged" so she could get a good picture.

The most painful one was while waterskiing. I think I caught the edge of the ski in the water. Next thing I know, I'm yanked right out of my skis, "running" about 15 or 20 feet across the top of the water, then going in face first. :thumbsup2
