Figured I'd give you guys the result of last nights crab race, I thought this would be the week we would have to give him the talk on you can't win all the time since he was racing his underdogs, but his one named Leafie came in 2nd so another trophey came home.

The big race will be Weds in Ocean City

In a couple of weeks the boardwalk holds a kids parade. I've been making a float for the last few years now, every year we come in 2nd, I want to get 1st this year (1st prize is a $500 Savings Bond).
I'm thinking of making a hermit crab training camp/club Med themed float, with my son wearing a trainer shirt:confused3 Since the boardwalk has the Weds. races it might be a easy win

Any ideas for thing to put on a Hermit crab training camp/club Med float it's 3ft x 4ft so there is alot of room

That's awesome! Good luck on the next round:thumbsup2

Well, I finally figured out the clues to my birthday/Christmas present this year:

Looks like I'm going 24 Laps at Daytona International Speedway with the Richard Petty Driving Experience

She had it booked, but they're repaving the speedway, so I have to postpone until January, maybe later....oh well...but hey!

Yeah, I know they have it at Disney, but I have to be honest....I've dreamed of hitting those turns at Daytona....and now it's gonna happen!!

Oh man, I can't wait!!!

DW went above and beyond this time!!

:car::car::car::car::car::car::car::dancer:

CRUD!

Ok I read enough to gather the topic has turned to NASCAR and driving on tracks. I too am jealous about doing the RP Driving Experience, but this is a MAN"S club, soooooo, time to one up. How many of you have driven on a NASCAR track, with their personal car, with a NASCAR driver in the back? How 'bout is said drivers were

Kyle Busch and...

wait for it...

Jimmie Johnson!

The track was Bristol and for those of you who friended me on facebook the photographic evidence is there. It was too sweet!

Quotes of the day from my Dad:
1) as I went into a full power drift outside the track making a turn towards the parking lot: "Son your losing a little traction."

2) after dropping Jimmie off as I'm making a u-turn to head back to the exit tunnel I let the back end come around a little: "You just couldn't resist that could you boy?"
:woohoo:

I've done Bristle, with my own car, and I had a Nascar Driver in my car as well.

Danica Patrick riding shotgun.....

Ok, the first two were true at least. :rotfl2:

Hey guys, have a great week. I should be in the air in less than 11 hours and heading back home to WDW and the WL. :thumbsup2

Our son reenlisted in the Navy yesterday at the WWII Memorial in Annapolis, MD. Next stop:
October 2010, Pensacola, FL, and a 3-year tour as a Crew Chief with the
BLUE ANGELS!
:cool1:

Way cool MIJO. Your son couldn't have picked a better place to reenlist.

Happy Birthday Fed!

Hey Dads - help a newbie out.

I've done a bit of juggling of the schedule for our October trip, since we've decided to fit the parade (whether it's still MSEP or Spectro) into our schedule. The day that we're looking at has evening EMH, so the parade starts at 9 p.m. What time do we need to return to the MK to get a spot for the parade?

Dude, you are officially my HERO:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I've been on Myrtle Beach Speedway in my own car....

Oh, and on Darlington in a car...but it didn't really belong to me, per se...it belonged to a State Organization with the initials SCHP...:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

AJ...to be honest with you, I've never really had a problem scouting a spot for parades this time of year--especially with MNSSHP going on...it seems like (although I may be totally wrong) some of the crowd gets drawn off for that.

Not sure where your favored viewing spot is:lmao: but I think if you were there by 1900 (7 PM) you'd have no problem finding a spot...

EMH though....hmmmmm.....I still say you're OK...we always have been, but then, maybe we've been lucky...:thumbsup2

i would get there no later than 7, pending were you want to sit, around the train station area and the circle, people will be sitting there probley before 7. most of main street will be open and over in frontier land, you would be ok till till about 8 or a little after. i would think an emh during the holloween season at mk maybe fuller than you think, they block off nights for the holloween parties and there probley arent to many nights that the mk stays open "later". weekends are also fuller than weekdays, the locals visit for the day.

Thanks guys, that's along the lines of what I was figuring.
It's not a weekend, but it is a Monday and an Evening EMH day.
ADRs for that day were tricky, but I snagged one at House of Blues for 5:15 p.m. (and I'll have a car), so that should work. I snagged a $25 gift certificate from restaurant.com for $2 during one of their 80% off sales, so I'll get to use that and save a TS credit for the 2 credit meal at California Grill.

It was either juggle the schedule or spend the extra money to upgrade the tickets to Park Hoppers. I haven't canceled the one ADR that we can't use with the juggled schedule just yet. I need to look at the two schedules again and decide for sure whether to just bite the bullet and pay for hoppers instead or not.

The only thing that could make the Petty Driving experience better. Congrats Fed.

You sound like some of the podiatrists that I know from work LOL...When I broke my foot last year they sentme to one and I told him I did not want to come because he always cut off toes and feet!

Doing some PRN Medical Social Work, I've learned a whole lot of things I wish I hadn't. For example, one of the surgeons earned the nickname "Nic" for his quality procedures. That would not be for the plastic surgery TV show, that would be for "nic" a bowel here, "nic" an artery there ...:scared1:

I've been doing some ADR stalking again. (Disney-related item... go fig).
i don't want to keep others from getting ADR's, but until i confirm with the 5 adults when they want to do stuff, I have 2 times for breakfasts/lunches/dinners. Is this... common? I will cancel my other ressies, probably by September, but until then, i want to keep the 7:20 and 9:00 Chef Mickey, and the 11:50 LeCellier and 12:10 Rose & Crown, because I can't think for the whole group.

so, just making sure that I'm not the only person doing it. Like speeding on the highway....
