Welcome home!

We are up to $695.00 for GKTW! Great job guys We have about 15 days left in the 1st annual Dis Dad's GKTW April fund raiser. We are only asking for $5 donations but if you want to give more that is ok too.

Today was payday so I guess I get to push us to $700!:cool1:

I live in a suburban city of a garden spot known as Detroit!:lmao: You heard of the movie "8 Mile", well I live between 11 and 12 mile. If anyone comes to Detroit let me know.

I grew up about an hour from where you are. Across the river from Port Huron, MI.

What did they ever end up doing with Boblo Island?

Got a major dilema, and I think you guys are the only one's who'll understand. I was just offered a moderate discount for NBA playoff tickets (Heat/Celtics). Once I factor in the family, plus 20 dollar beers and 50 dollar burgers, it takes a big bite out of our Disney budget for our trip in May. Do I cheap out at Disney or just watch the game at home?

Buy only 2 tickets- take a buddy and make him pay for his ticket. Then get him drunk and make him pay for all your beers and food. Problem solved!! You can send me $50 for saving you MEGA deniro!!!! :goodvibes

Heck, I couldn't get on today either....:confused3

TAX DAY GENTS.......:mad::mad::mad:

And my Anniversary....Man, am I a good Con Man:lmao::lmao::lmao:

First, a quick caveat. I spent five years on campus at the University of Kansas, watching good basketball being played in a legendary facility that was always filled to the rafters with a knowledgable and excited group of fans. I was one of the die-hards, camping out for days before games (in the days when that meant sleeping outdoors, in a tent, on a frozen parking lot in February). Beer and donuts for breakfast always made it all better. :D So when it comes to watching basketball live, I'm incredibly spoiled.

I've been to a few NBA games, both before and since college. I have to say, the in-person experience at an NBA game just doesn't much impress me. I'd rather watch an NBA game on TV, with my own cheaper (but better) beer handy. The view is better and the chairs are more comfortable too.

Spend the money at Disney - you'll get more entertainment bang for your buck.

I agree - that's a good plan. Don't skimp out on your family vacation for a game....

The offer is coming through DW, who surprisingly wants to go (I think it's an office thing). So I'd have to take her, then, since our sitter is a joke (MIL), we'll have to being the girls to.......maybe I can get DW's boss drunk enough to cover the bar tab, but tickets alone will hurt.

Congrats on her keeping you for another year:)

Be swinging through your area tomorrow, any speed traps I should know about?

I would agree. I've been to a couple NBA games and it reminded me of a bunch of big guys playing a pick-up game. Save the $$$ for your trip; you'll need it! :lmao:

How much of an NBA fan are you? Do you like Disney more than the NBA? I'm not an NBA fan, so for me it would be a no-brainer.

We're leaving about 12:00 from Raleigh and are staying tomorrow night at the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport. Hopefully we'll get in about 7:00pm.

Well, we've reached $700 but we still have a looooooong way to go for $2000!
