...in regards to the seat and the bus debate ( not that this has become a debate really), if we need a thrid to make it Man Law.

MAN LAW!!!

**Thinking of another thread on this page**

I was just wondering about something....

Any man who has the ability to stand (in otherwords, no other reason-disability, etc..) on a Disney bus, yet remains seated while a female passenger remains standing or a mother holds a child while standing and does not offer her the seat should be tied to a rope and dragged behind said bus...

Just my .02, take it for what it's worth, but I refuse to believe in this entitlement attitude that seems so pervasive....

Yeah, I know I got there first and that's the way it goes...so forth and so on...

But my mom would be the one tying me to the rope if I ever sat while someone had to stand like that...

Now, if you CAN'T stand---that's different...

Maybe it's just me...

i generally just walk to the back and stand anyway. intresting story, got on the bus in oct and it was just about full. im standing just about in front of the bus. a lady gets on, by herself holding a kid about 1-1/2. the clown sitting, about 24 years old, wouldnt move, my wife got up and said have a seat. my dd dont mind standing either. anyway, we were coming from epcot, we had diner at tepen edo about 3 hours ago.that was the longest bus ride that 24 year old dude ever was on.:lmao: target practice!!!:lmao: silent and deadly!!! even my wife was laughing cause she knew who it was!!!! aaahhhh happy times at wdw!!!:lmao:

Does anyone remember The Man Show, I miss that show:happytv: The frist couple seasons were the best when Timmy Kimbel & Adam Corolla were the hosts.

Another vote for Man Law.
When we go to Disney, we rent a car. But I have seen this for sure on public trans. when we would go in to the city for a day trip and the kids were little. Sometimes though, someone does step up to the plate with good family values and gives up a seat. To often it was a woman that offers her seat. At that point we would usually prefer to stand.

I can't believe the I got there first mentality from some people. Sad.

Now that we have established the Man Law with regard to the seats on the bus, shouldn't someone post the CORRECT answer in the other thread? You know, just to let everyone know that the DisDads have spoken, and there need not be any further nattering on about it.
(The only sarcasm in the above is directed at the Neanderthals who insist on asserting their "first come, first served" rights in the other thread).

Hope whoever wants to read this board tomorrow has plenty of time on their hands, cause we added like 6 pages today:lmao:

Seriously. It's like we have a daytime shift and an evening/weekend shift here. Being mostly on the daytime shift, I keep wondering where to jump in after catching up on the 2-3 pages that appear overnight! :lmao:

I believe I shall....

Fellas,
We're starting our drive for Disney World in 9 days (March 4th). Our plan it to take I-94/294 around Chicago, I-65 south through Indiana and Kentucky, I-24 through Tennessee, and I-75 through Georgia and into Florida. If any of you live along that route and know of any road construction or anything else to be on the lookout for, I'd appreciate the heads up!

Anyone passing on information will get a shout out in my Trip Report.
Anyone passing on valid information will get their shout out in a special color.
Anyone passing on useful information will get their shout out in color, bold, and with larger font. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Be sure to honk when you're passing through Indianapolis, will ya? I'm sure I'll hear it....

The 4th is the date/evening that we pick my in-laws up at the airport for their stay here with us, and then to watch the kids while DW and I head down to FL on the 10th.

There is a LOT of construction going on on the west side of town, especially on the 465 loop around the city - but you'll stay on the 65, so you "should" be okay. I'll see what I can dig up for you though... because you will run into the possibility of residual traffic to the city via 65, and you may run into a bunch of it - but hopefully not. I was just over there on that side last Thursday headed to a customer meeting southwest of the airport, and it was nasty. Lane shifts, slowdowns, stops and all. Yuck.

Well, if you have an alternate route suggestion that takes me though your neck of the woods, go ahead and suggest it. I'll run it by the "Head Navigator and Chief Which-Wayer" (me) and see if it would be a more efficient route. :thumbsup2

So how long has this whole internet/chat room/blogging thing been around? 10-15 years, right? In all that time, I've avoided online communities. I don't see the point in putting an opinion out there only to see it misinterpreted and torn to shreds by people who probably wouldn't have the guts to say these things in person. <<<(My opinions of chat rooms in general, not the DisDads) This week I've been reminded why I feel that way. I've loosely followed that "WDW bus passenger" thread for a few days. Man, what a bunch on nonsense over there. :headache: Pretty catty. There's a reason why I just stick the DISDad thread. It's safer over here. Fed posts a reasonable, gentlemanly thought and gets strung up for it.

Fed- hats off to you and I hope you're packin' heat!:wave2:

Not Sure how useful this is...BUT I-40 from Knoxville to Asheville has been shut down for months due to a rock slide...therefore Truckers have been forced to change their routes...you may see an increase of truck traffic on I-24 from Nashville to Chattanooga...and on I-75 from Chattanooga to Atlanta.

We have seen allot of traffic increased on I-26 through Johnson City because of this.
