Snow is underway here in KC too. Big, fat, sticky flakes too. But I'm not sure we're going to get enough for an igloo. And it's warm enough that it may not stay around very long.

I wish I had gone the peanut butter crackers route. There was a super bowl party 15 feeet from my desk. The meatballs, the crab dip, etc. were calling my name. Too soon to eat like that after a stomach bug. I think I'm going to head home before the rumbly in my tumbly announces my presence to the entire fourth floor. Need to rest up for the real super bowl party on Sunday. Plus I'm inspired by Emma's Dad. :yay: I've got an igloo to build!! Doggone it- if they can build one in Va Beach, why not the capital city?!:thumbsup2

:cool1::cool1::cool1: I'd love to see what you come up with! Sorry to hear about the belly... hope it's good for Sunday!

Yeah Don inspired me as well. We are going to make the igloo attempt if we get enough snow.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Gotta see the pictures!!

Yeah... you need quite a bit of snow for an igloo. I was surprised how much it took!

Glad I could inspire some dads to build igloos... need to see pics!! BTW... mine is still standing... after 2 days in the 40's... and now it's raining! If it can make it to tomorrow night it will freeze again. Here's to hoping! :thumbsup2

Still no snow here. Just heavy rain. It is supposed to change over in the next few hours I think. I am on call all weekend long so I am hoping that we dont get a lot of snow!!!

The kids passports came in the mail today so we are one step closer to cruise day in 29 days!:woohoo:

Welll I better head to work. I hate when it is my turn to pull an evening shift!

Oh boy...I sense a DIS Dads Igloo Challenge arising...

We're supposed to get between 1' and 2' here in DE. I've never built an igloo before, though. Being an engineer, this could be embarrassing if it's not structurally sound. Maybe I'll have to come down with a "stomach bug". :rotfl2:

And Kevin, should you really be out shoveling snow and building igloos if all you've eaten is pb crackers?? :confused3

Did somebody say challenge? :scratchin

The only problem is I don't have any good packing snow. It's all powder, but I will see what I can do this weekend.

We all definately need to post picks of whatever it is we build.:thumbsup2

Yeah, but you work for the state. Nobody really expects a quality job anyway. :rotfl2:

At least you have snow. Not that I'm complaining, but I live in Wisconsin for Pete's sake. I have maybe an inch on the ground, and they are forecasting another 1" or so over the next week. No igloos for me for a while.

On another note, I'm getting a Disney fix this weekend. We're going to Disney on Ice: Princess Classics tomorrow in Milwaukee. I'm sure I'll be roped into buying $6 hot dogs, $5 nachos, $12 light up toys and and $8 ICEES in collector cups. It will feel just like I'm in Disney World! :thumbsup2
If I get some good pics I'll put them up next week.

Ok guys this may sound stupid But how do I post pics on here? Do they have to be posted to another web site like photobucket? I need to learn quick cause I will need to get my igloo pics in to enter them in the Dis Dads build off

Ouch! :lmao:

I have a de-motivational poster with a picture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa on it. The tagline says, "MEDIOCRITY: It takes a lot less time, and most people won't notice the difference till it's too late."

Maybe I should take a picture of one of my kids building the igloo while the rest of us lean on shovels. :rotfl2:

We'll see how it goes. Like Daddy-O, the last storm was nothing but powder, so we couldn't even have a decent snowball fight. Not that I didn't try.

Mmmm...over-priced gouge-the-captive-audience comfort food...:drinking1

Have fun!

Yes, they have to be hosted on another site. A lot of the guys here like Picasa (Google's software).

Very nice!! Did you pass that bottle around to the worker bees?? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm not sure if anyone here is into home remodeling/construction/etc... but my DW watches HGTV all the time and I'm sitting here watching Holmes for Homes. WOW... I can't believe the kind of work some "contractors" do. I mean... I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the house I am watching right now. From the basement to the roof this one guy (who is a relative of the couple that own the house) screwed up the entire house. This is heart-wrenching to watch... but cool to see how fast Holmes fixes it.

I've seen that show a couple of times and :scared1::scared1: I can't believe what people get away with and call themselves contractors.

On a side note, I wonder if Holmes has ever had to fix a screwed up Igloo... Just sayin.

We know we are your favorite, it's okay, I won't tell.:lmao:

So basically, that's three weeks of Tactics Training. Which is harder, doing the death march at the end of the night around World Showcase or a day at Tactics Training.:lmao::rotfl:

:lmao:

At least with a CM you didn't get soaked for thousands every time you speak to them on the phone........hold on.......uhmmm....nevermind :lmao:

Welcome to the club, let us know if you need any help or have any questions.

:hyper::hyper: No pressure really. I'm sure we all hate answering questions about Disney.;)

The Death March is harder, but after going "around the world" (:rolleyes1) I tend not to feel it as much:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Kevin--hope you're feeling better, and hope Gabe gets his days and nights fixed soon....LOL

And for the Prius Brake comments....ROFLMAO!!!

That guy is from Toronto, Mike Holmes. The one guy Carl that works for him, I used to work with him years ago. That is a great show. He went down to New Orleans with his entire team and built a house for a lady who lost everything during Katrina.
Most of those houses are in the Toronto area. That is why I try and do everything on my own, I can't bring myself to pay out thousands and not be happy with the results, we just finished our kitchen/living room this summer and still have some trim to finish that DW swears should have been done before Christmas.....oops!
This reno is starting to feel like writing a never ending TR.:lmao::lmao:
