Wow! That bus tread got shut down already page 6. It was just starting to go bad, guess they don't want to chance it, being that those theads usally go sour:confused3

I've never ridden the Disney Busses...and hope I never have to....but when it comes to the Monorail...I make sure everyone else has a seat first then if one is available I take a seat...if not I can usually see outside better standing up anyway. Heck I've been standing or walking 95% of the day...what's a few more minutes. If my boys don't follow suit...then they get a good dose of the evil eye until I whack them on the back of the head (NCIS-Gibbs style)...with a "get'up boy".

.....and I had nothing to do with it this time:rotfl2:
:lmao: V e r y G o o d ! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Newbie here! Can you add me to the roster as member #442? Great car, and I will wear the number proudly!

I'm new to the club, but let me know the rallying cry and I'm there. I just read the Man Law credo on this, and am in full agreement, so we should go in united IMO.

:dancer::welcome::dancer: To The Dis Dads. Emma's Dad will be around to give you your official member #.

It looks like it will be 442, and a fine car it is:car::thumbsup2 442 = 4 barrel carb, 4 speed, Dual exaust. My favorite years were the early 70,s model, I also liked the one they had in the 80's The Hurst 442 with the lightning bolt shifters:thumbsup2

You look about how DW, the kids and I all felt back in January when the folks wouldn't get up and moving soon enough on Epcot day - and none of us were able to go on Soarin' because by the time we got to the park all the FP's were gone and the line was nearly 2 hrs long. WE'LL be back sure - but who knows when THEY will be back? The kids really wanted to share that with their grands, and the just didn't seem to care. Deep heavy sigh. OH well.

That's a shame. What can you do? Besides bite your tongue till it bleeds.

At least I had ridden it once earlier in the week. I would have been really upset if I hadn't been able to ride it at all. My daughter was the lucky one--she rode 3 times!

Yep!!! Siemens.

Brookfield, Bridgeport, Cromwell, E Hartford, Manchester, Middletown, Norwalk, Watertown, Windsor...

My Business Sector just went thru a major re-org from Siemens Energy and Automation Inc. to Siemens Industry Inc.

Siemens is about as big globally as GE is in the US...finger in everything. So the Sweepstakes enrty pool is not that small. 1:100,000 or more.

Siemens started a Partnership with Disney in 2005...and have had a Drawing of some sort every Spring since 2006.

Biggest presence is with Spaceship Earth and Illuminations. Also the Osborne Family Christmas Decor at Hollywood Studios.

maybe this bus crash also had something to do with the bus thread getting closed.this will be next.http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2426627 This is going to go south fast wait and see. Now you will get all the "I told you so " people should be sitting comments.

Well that's it the Monorail is not safe, the bus is not safe, I guess it boats only from now on at wdw. (I pray everyone will be alright)

Ok, way too many responses to sit here and quote all of them, Al Bundy is my prophet and that's just way too much work.

Thank you guys for all the positive responses, it's hard seeing little ones go through that kind of thing. The doctors are still trying to find the right treatment for her, the second attempt didn't work either. They are now going to add a steroid into the mix and see what happens. There are a few more levels of treatment and hopefully she'll respond to one of them. The bad news is, if she doesn't respond to any of these treatments, the endgame would be removal of her spleen, which they don't do on young kids. The doctors are fairly confident that something will work before we get to that point. She's still in the hospital and will probably be there for another week or so as they go through this stage of trial and error. She's in good spirits and mom is breathing a little easier knowing that it's not leukemia.

Now, with that out of the way and our minds a little more clear, it is time to get to more pressing issues. WDW in May. Does anyone know when and if Wishes Dessert Party will return? We did this over Xmas and loved it. I've searched through multiple sources and haven't found anything current. We have family coming in from NY that have never been to WDW and think they'd really enjoy it.

You might want to contact WDW directly to find out. With the "SUMMER NIGHTTASTIC" promotion this year coming to FL (following on its' very successful heels at DL last summer AND trying to take on Harry Potter over at the park that shall not be named) - Wishes will be replaced throughout the summer with a bigger and better fireworks extravaganza. Not sure if they will continue with that type of special dessert or not - though my guess is they will... after all, since when has Disney really turned down charging money for something as a "premium" experience?!? BTW - Steve Davison, the original creator of Wishes is the one behind the new show going in to the MK...so no worries - it will be first rate. (Besides, Wishes, IMO, has gotten a bit old and tired and needs to be updated anyway).

With that in mind as well, for any of you Spectromagic fans out there in DDC-land... Spectro will be glowing away during the promo as well, for possibly the next 2 summers to be replaced by the perennial Disney classic - The Main Street Electrical parade. It's being sent east from California Adventure (where it's been called Disney's Electrical Parade since it moved in there in '02 or '03 since there's no Main Street at DCA) - while DCA continues major construction on the plussing projects of The Little Mermaid ride, renovations to Hollywood Pictures Backlot and the addition of CarsLand - all kinds of construction walls are everywhere - PLUS - the major new show WORLD OF COLOR opens this May. They didn't want two huge people-drawing events/extravaganzas completly shutting down the park, so rather than just mothball the parade for the summer, WDW asked for it and got it. Since they didn't opt to spend any money in advance of HP opening up and get some big new attraction or land redo ready in time, they decided to slap together various things to try and show people that Disney has new and improved stuff to offer this summer too.

I always thought is was 4 wheels, 4 speeds, 2 doors, cause I never saw a 4 door version. :confused3

My buddy in HS had a lemon yellow one and the color was appropriate for how often he had it up on jacks.
