I apologize if this has been suggested already, but as I was listening to the 10th anniversary show I thought it would be fun to get some more numbers about the Dis.
Maybe this could be a tiny segment on a show someday?
I'd love to hear stats like how many listeners are out there, how many users are on the boards, how many guests have been on the podcast, etc. How many cats has Teresa had? Lol!
If anyone else watched the Mythbusters marathon they did "Buster's Myth Math" and counted all kinds of silly, funny things from the show. Just a fun thought on a rainy Thursday.

Would be interesting to hear any kind of stats they'd like to share, for sure.

Well, the only stat that I've seen is the number of "people watching" on YouTube when they stream live on Tuesday. I can't recall if I have ever seen it break 1000 (seen upper 900s), but I know it's usually 500-600 and spikes around a half hour into the show (700s).

I'd guess that the owners consider some of this information to be competitive/confidential. I recall that the old version of the DIS Boards (i.e., the version that we had 2 years ago before they switched to the current software) had over 500,000 members. However, all that means is that many people had accounts, not how many are currently active.

Yep, it's like Disney.....and they're entitled to confidence of their stats for obvious reasons, for sure.....that's why I said "whatever they'd LIKE to share". <wink>
