I finally got mama melrose fantasmic package!!:goodvibes While I was calling everyday trying to grab a cancellation. I booked Sci Fi!! Now my kids dont wanna switch:mad:

What to do??? Do you think two sit downs would be too much in one day?
Should we just do appetizers at Sci Fi ?? We are on the dining plan and will be definitely be using that for Mama Melrose.

As it is we have SCi-fi: 11:55am and Mama Melrose 4:25pm.

Any thoughts!?!!?
Is that too much?

Those are really CLOSE eating times. And since you will get an appetizer at Mama Melrose (it's part of the Fantasmic Package), I think you should just do appetizers at Sci-Fi. Maybe do the onion rings and drinks or perhaps just desserts? I think you will be too full to enjoy MM if you eat at noon at Sci-Fi. Or can you change Sci Fi to another day?

I don't know if you have PHs, but this is what we did (Studios is a 1-day park for us). We decided to do two half-days. One day to arrive at rope drop and stay until lunch at Sci-Fi then leave. One day to arrive just before our Mamma Melrose reservation and stay through Fantasmic! Maybe you can move your Sci-Fi lunch to another date?

It is close timing. I would do app's at Si-Fi and pay out of pocket for that I wouldn't use a Tb service for that. And stick with the MM pkg.

Agree - the timing is close, but you will have to eat something anyway - who can go till 4pm without eating. I would find out what time Sci Fi opens and see if you can check in early. If they open at 11:30am it would be easy to check in early.

Go and have something light and try not to get filled up and just enjoy the atmosphere. 4:25pm is not bad, we got 5pm for fantasmic at Mama Melrose and I was thankful since I didn't want to have to eat too close together either.

Maybe you could split some entree's. They have great hamburgers - maybe a half a hamburger and some fries would tie you over.

try to get in early at Sci-Fi, and eat very light (pay OOP)

Definitely keep Mama Melrose dinner package...we just did this in May 2009 and it is SOOO worth it. You will not believe how full that theater is an hour before the show...lots of seats left for reserved section, but the rest was mostly full. (the line for non-dinner package people started forming at 6:30 for a 9:00 show - 2 1/2 hours before the show!!!)

Sci-fi is so much fun. My kids love it too, just have something light. Split some sandwiches share a milk shake. The food at Mamas is much better. Have your big meal there.

Thanks everyone!! I really appreciate your thoughts and comments.
Sci-Fi opens at 11:00am, so I am trying to that ressie earlier.
I havent been to Sci-Fi in years. How long do you think it will take for appetizers and such. I am fraid of being in restaurants all day, but the kids always think we can squeeze everything in!!!
