I think Palin actually did very well last night. Although I didnt like how she stared at the camera the whole time. It was kind of like she was just staring at me and looking into my soul. Other than that, i think she did an excellent job considering that she hasnt been in congress or anything before

I think Palin did great last night. I know nobody will ever admit this, but she won that debate last night their is no doubt about it.

She spoke into the camera, said it in the way that regular people can understand. She was absolutely great last night.

I would feel better about Palin if she actually answered the questions that were asked-but she didn't. She kept saying the same things over and over and over again. Along with this, the whole 'I'm a mother and can relate to the average American' thing is getting a bit old. As proven by this debate, Biden has had to go through his own fair share of hardships. He may not be a mother, but he is a father, husband, and widow.

Also-How can the average American relate to someone who has a partner like John McCain, who owns seven-if not more-properties? The average person would more than likely never be able to own that much land at one time, especially with the economy being the way it is at the moment.

I believe the fact that people think she did so great -purely because she didn't completely mess everything up- is just sad. Sure, she didn't studder through the whole thing and fall flat on her face, but she did not perform in a manner that I would want-and NEED- the future Vice President of my country to have the the ability to do.

I did not see either debate, but I think either way, we're in the hole with either candidate. I agree with your first paragraph, she may be a working mother, but Obama, McCain, and Biden are all working fathers. I don't see the difference here, maybe because mothers are supposed to be more "the main caregiver"?

I also don't like Palin's view point. I don't agree with certain things (IE no abortion, abstinenence only teaching). IMO, she really dropped the ball on that one proving her theory doesn't work, having a pregnant, unmarried teenage daughter and all. I'm not saying this is right or wrong, or she's a bad parent, but I think many people lost faith in her after that little stinker. (No pun intended)
