JoJo is Alyssa's absolute favorite right now...I think this will be her theme for her birthday party in April.

Feel free to help me brainstorm everyone...it's never too early to plan these things (especially since we have ZERO Disney trips on deck...unlike other braggadocious DDA'ers. :rotfl: )

Amy :)
Amy - I would love to help you out but right now I need to go make plans for my THREE WDW trips next year!!! :earboy2:

Just checking in while I had a free moment. Things have been going crazy here the last few days.
When it rains it pours. DD was playing the other day in her room and fell and busted her mouth on the corner of her dresser drawer. This left a big gash in her gums which resulted in a lot of blood. Ugh! So off the to ER where the doctor there said they couldn't do anything for her and that I had to then take her to the dentist for x-rays. The dentist took the x-rays and said that she didn't fracture her tooth, but that her tooth could turn brown or gray. He said the mouth heals quickly and that by the time her adult teeth come in all should be o.k.
My brother and his wife are traveling with us to Disney World and I booked and took care of all the paperwork for them. They received their final travel documents last Tuesday. I called our TA and she said that ours were mailed out the same day. Now, why is it that the bills, magazines, junk-mail and other garbage comes with no problem, but the one piece of mail that I have been anxiously waiting for, gets lost somehow. TA is looking into it, so I am hoping all work out there.
Received 25 t-shirts in the mail, which I ordered from blankshirtstore.com and got all that I ordered with a slight problem. I had ordered xs shirts for my dd but they sent youth small instead. I guess she will have some nightshirts to wear while we are there too. Not too big a problem Wal-mart had some 100% cotton ones so I substitued those for them.
Still haven't received my dark transer paper that I ordered off of E-Bay yet either. I placed the order and paid for the item right away on Jan 1st. I am hoping that it will come in anyday.
I am glad that I started planning early... otherwise I would really be freaking out right now.
Sending smiles and PD your way that all is well in the DDA

I hope she is doing better and feels better soon!!! :wizard:

the two weeks before Disney we had a rule at our house - no running, fighting, wrestling, or doing anything that could result in an injury that would make us cancel our trip OR show up in pictures

they listened well - but I'll be darned if not one hour after entering the MK on our first Julia didn't trip and fall flat on her head and end up with a big old goose egg on her forehead - I guess I should have given them the same rule at WDW!!!! :rotfl:

Yes... I think I will definitely make that a rule around here for the next 3 weeks.

Thanks for asking, Glynis. :goodvibes I'm still nauseous, but it's not nearly as bad as it was a few weeks ago. Strange things will set me off on gagging fests like vacuuming cat hair off the couch. :confused3 The weather around here has been erratic, 60 this past Sunday...40 today, so that's not helping my sinuses any. I am on a permanent antibiotic though for the rest of my pregnancy because my doctors found a bacterial infection in my urine culture and the first round of antibiotics didn't kick it. Better safe than sorry, right? :flower:

Amy :)

Absolutely better safe than sorry! We want a healthy baby to join our DDA fun! I'm sorry about your sinuses. That's no fun! By the way, anything that makes you gag is automatically off limits, and that includes vacuuming! We can't have you getting too sick. Take care of yourself! Rest lots, because with two babies, you are going to be running all over. With one baby it's easy to nap when they're napping, but with two it's just not possible. So, rest up now! I hope the nauseousness goes away! That's the worst. I hated feeling that way, and nothing but Grape Nuts sounded good. With DD #1 that's the only thing I could keep down!

I'm so sorry about your daughter! What a scary thing! Give her lots of hugs from her DDA Aunts and Uncles!

Sounds like you are almost ready to start the shirt process! Are you excited? I can't wait to see how they turn out!

I hope all your trip documents arrive today!

Amazing! Welcome to salvation Alex!
What a morning @ your house- all I have done is feed the dog, have coffee & snuggle with DD, but I am home with a migraine, so I predict a lazy day here.

Paul & Marti~ The Pats! For whatever reason Manning is so syched (sp?) out by Brady. Hoping that wont happen again, since the Colts beat them here in the dome last time.

Just alittle FYI.. Coach B has never lost to the same team in one season and Brady is the only QB to go 10-0 in post season. Sorry, but GO PATS !!!

Surprisingly, with all the nausea, I haven't really had any food aversions. I think I will take your advice and go nap right now. Especially since Alyssa decided to wake up at 7 a.m. today, instead of her usual "sleeping in" until 8 a.m.

I'll stick with name calling right now, but if she keeps taunting me, she's gonna be in for a hurtin'! :rotfl:

Keep taking them, Amy. Twenty seven years ago when I gave birth to my older DD we discovered that I carry a strep infection and that is not a good thing. The medical community did not know so much about it then, but seems like they are trying to stave off your little one being born with an infection as mine was. Had our doctor not caught all of this due to my running a fever during delivery and his wife having the same problems a year earlier, we could have lost our dear daughter. Another possibility is hearing loss from these systemic infections. So GOOD SHOW to your doctor!!

My DD ended up with a black eye for our first WDW trip! She ended up falling off of a rocking chair. What is it with girls and injuries and WDW?

Kristine -

I hope things go well for her today - I started wearing glasses in 2nd grade

I don't ever remember anyone making fun of me or having problems with them - the teachers were awesome all commented on how great they looked!!

I sure hope you're right. Sometimes kids can be cruel to one another...but I am sure I am just being the worried mom

I just saw this in someone's signature -

How many times have you wanted to use this?!!? I don't mean on this thread - I mean in real life!!

Sounds great...but I don't sew..beyond the ocassional button that is..I guess I should have paid attention in my Jr. High learn to sew class :teeth:

But I bet one of our talented DDA friends can... maybe someone who doesn't feel brave or talented enough to design a shirt could sew some patches for Kristine's beautiful daughter? Come on - there must be someone ::yes::

Unfortunately we didn't even have sewing classes at school so I'm definitely unable to help! Wish I could though...
