I made Christopher's square design very last minute so I didn't have time to cut all of the squares out, but I used the dark transfer paper and I think it came out OK. Here are pics.

Me too....I ordered a rain cover for my Peg Perego Pliko. We've never had problem with rain on a trip before but on the trip last Aug with just Joe it rained everyday. I had a rain cover for my MacLaren daytripper and I keep going back and forth over which (even how many) stroller to take. I think I'll take just the Pliko because it is very comfy, stands when folded, and has a running board on the back for a 2nd child. I suppose we could have made due with just a poncho or something but I think the rain cover will get good use.

I also just bought a 3 piece set of Samsonite luggage. 25" and 22" spinners and a wheeled tote. I got a great deal at BJ's of $119 for the set - couldn't find a single 22" spinner for that online but I got it thinking the 25" was smaller and lighter than the biggest bag I have at home but it was exactly the same size. SO...I really have to return the luggage.

And...I've been buying Emma girly clothes that aren't pink. Not an easy thing to do. I know it shouldn't bother me and it certainly doesn't bother her but everyone last year (and at home) asked me how old is "HE"? I found a really cute Pooh skort/tank set on sale at Sears-that sort of mint green, peach and chocolate brown. I also found a really cute Pooh tank top at H&M. I'll have to take photos and post them. I had the hardest time finding her a beach cover up that didn't have pink. I finally found one that was white with royal blue and real sporty looking. And you should try to find undies that don't have pink-even most of the white ones have pink in the elastic. I found sporty ones at Walmart that were navy and lime green and all white at Sears. She's doing great on the potty.

Deb I found the Eastport bag at Walmart today at lunch. Thanks for posting. I found the last one without a price tag so I never would have thought it was only $4.74.
Don't feel bad, we dressed Effie in a blue baseball outfit with cap. He had a blue blanket with rockets and a blue car carrier and people still asked what HER name was. :rotfl:

Kate,
I love your new tickers. I hope all is well with you.

The boy who died on Rock n' Roller Coaster had a congenital heart defect. Here is the link.

Just had to show off my new signature picture. I love it! I'm trying to get the rest uploaded, but there's around 400! Kids go to John's parents tomorrow for a WEEK! OMG. What will I do with free time. It's going to be very lonely around here. Gotta go get them packed.
A week isn't enough time for the turtle. :teeth: :rotfl2:
Seriously though have a nice relaxing week. How has Rees been doing? and How have you been feeling?

I just booked my Disneyland package!!!!!

I am so excited -

we arrive on wednesday night and leave Sunday
we will go to the parks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
I think we will do early entry on Thursday morning at the MK - and then spend Friday at California - with Saturday open -

Steve's best friend will probably come meet us there on Saturday -

Friday night is the Halloween party - I am wondering if we should do that - ahs anyone ever been to the DL halloween party? It is $20 a person - I will have to think about it!

we are staying at the Radisson- it is a purely financial decision - a hotel is a hotel to me and it was $100 cheaper than any other options b/c it had the 4th night free!!!

we get a free character breakfast so I think we will go to Goofy's kitchen unless you all tell me not to

Julia and I will probably do the princess breakfast on Friday morning while the boys go do something else -

I have to go buy a guidebook - any suggestions?!?!

I am so EXCITED!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Looks good to me! Just remember to get there early and head straight for Fantasyland. Most of those rides don't have fastpass, so you want to do them before the crowds get too big.

We love Goofy's Kitchen! It's a fun experience, and your kids will love it!

The Radisson is a nice place. You'll have a great time, and be surprised at how close everything is to DL.

Is the Princess Breakfast in DCA at Ariel's Grotto? I haven't been there since it became a princess meal, but I think you and Julia would really have fun there. We've been there for lunch and enjoyed it. Don't forget to go to San Andreas Shakes in DCA and have a California Date Shake. I thought it would be so gross, but is was really yummy! At least the 3 bites I could have were yummy!

I'll start looking over my notes and see what other advice I could pass along to you!

Would you mind sharing your list? I love to keep a running list of books to read so I can check them out from our library. I'm just finishing up "Like Water For Chocolate" for our book club this next week. It's really a fun read. A Mexican tall tale/romance. I have to host book club, so I'm working out some fun treats to go along with the book. Food Network has a recipe for chocolate burritos that I'm going to try. Sounds yummy, yes?

Yes, sounds yummy!!!

and yes I will be happy to share my list, ummmm....I have to try and remember it when i go into my office on Sunday to finish straightening my desk for my vacation which officially started 5 hours ago!!!

The first two are:

The World is Flat (sounded like a snoozer to me)
Arthur & George (fictional account of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and friend wrongly accused of murder)
in there we also have
Marley and Me, The Biology of Beliefs and a Piccoult book.

I will try and remember to get them on Sunday for you!!

Ok, I'm absolutely furious.:furious: I just got a call from Katrina. There is a "slight" problem she says. Grandma doesn't have a seat on the plane and she might not be able to come home tonight. I'm furious with the airline. It would not let me book the seat numbers when I made the reservations or before they left. They told mom & the kids not to worry about seat assignments when they checked in to fly to Japan. They just told my mom to be optimistic that 3 people don't show up for the flight. OPTIMISTIC!! I'll give you optimistic! I realize that Becky isn't exactly young but mom is still flying with a minor. Becky & mom were booked on one reservation and Katrina was booked on another. How Becky got a seat I don't know! I'm also upset with mom and the kids. I told them to make sure that they were given seat assignments before they left the states. I told them that I was concerned this might happen. Did they listen to me? That would be NO! :sad2:

Now mind you, the girls & mom are fine with the turn of events. Katrina's boyfriend is picking her up at the airport anyway so Becky can just stay with Katrina for the night. Mom can fly in tomorrow, pick Becky up and then they can drive to Engadine. They are all wondering why they called me because it just upset me. Well, DUH! The airline had better pay for mom's room for the night and some meals. The airline had also better give my mother a free ticket or something for her trouble. No matter what they do, they will be hearing from me!

I can feel my blood pressure rising. Can I find a phone number to call? Of course not!!!!!

I am sorry this is happening!!!

Has anyone ever broken their little toe? I stubbed mine really hard at work today. Now it is swollen , bruised, & it hurts! I know nothing can be done if it is broken, just curious :goodvibes

Has your toe turned black or purple? That's how I know when I've broken a toe. I've done it twice: once in a college production another actor stepped on my bare toe with her stiletto heels (on stage, couldn't scream or swear), and the second time when Jacob dropped an oak step stool on my toes while I was bathing a newborn twin. Again, I couldn't scream or swear (Jacob was so sorry, he cried enough for me). Both times my toe turned black or purple in a very short time. I just tape the toe to the ones next to it so I can't move or wiggle it, and let it heal as well as it can. It's painful, but there's not much a doctor could do other than that.

I hope it heals quickly for you!

Just remember, time's fun when you're having flies!

A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!"

um, I have nothing to say
