The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 9

I need some creative ideas, so guess where I came to? I want to make a door sign/t-shirt for my boys for the cruise. Jake and Andrew have been saying for over two years now (since our bridge tour two years ago) that they want to be captain of the Disney Magic one day. I know everyone is busy right now, so I don't want anyone to make time to do a design. What I am looking for are ideas/inspiration to help me brainstorm. I was thinking of getting captain's hats and taking their picture, then putting something like "We want to be Captain of the Disney Magic one day...."

Anyone have any other ideas?

Maybe something like Future Captain of the Disney Magic would be a good heading. I like the idea of them in a captain's hat. Could you put them on the Magic somehow? Or standing in front of it?

I have had a blast today and sadly it must come to an end as I have a splitting headache and need to get Emma to bed. Friday night is Girls Slumber Party in our house. I may check in tomorrow morning but will be MIA until Sunday sometime.

I am headed to Atlantic City with my mom, cousin, MIL and Grandmother tomorrow afternoon on a bus trip. Maybe I will strike it rich!

I just got the kids in bed. After dinner I took them to Dairy Queen to celebrate the last day of school/excellent report card (well, as excellent as it can get for kindergarten). Tomorrow Nicholas has a bday pool party and then in the afternoon we are off to the dinner theater matinee "Through the Looking Glass." AKA: Alice in Wonderland.

Chuck is driving me crazy. He is being a pest because he can't concentrate on anything. He is worse than the kids when they aren't feeling well. I know that he is hurting and I feel bad for that but I'm really getting tired of him bugging me! He sits beside me and stares at me until I give him attention.

My kids don't get out of school until next Friday!!!! They can't wait! They go back the Wednesday after Labor Day.

Anyone who got their kids crocs (I read Denise did but couldn't find a picture if she posted one) how was the sizing? My 10 year old dd wears a 3-4 shoe.. what do you suggest? None of the stores within 20 miles carry them so I can't try them on..just wondering if they run small or large?

I am going to be a typical DIS'er in August..wearing my homemade matching tee shirt, my baggalini messenger bag, & wearing crocs!!!!

I love DQ's banana split blizzard. I can't eat a whole banana split anymore but I can buy a small blizzard and it tastes just like eating the banana split. Don't ask me why I like banana splits either because for everything else I'm one of those that don't like their different foods touching!!! How I can eat chocolate, pineapple & strawberry with vanilla ice cream and bananas all mixed together is a mystery!

Do you know if DQ still has those pizza like things? Chuck mentioned them tonight and was thinking about having us get one tomorrow for him. The girls will be gone on Fathers Day as they leave early in the morning.

Denise -- I don't think you are going to be back on again tonight, but I had to tell you...... the kids were at a day camp for the Dallas Zoo this week. On Monday, Jake came out of the gate wearing an animal on his head (a paper band with a head, arms and legs that he colored and staped to it). Guess what it was?

A Turtle of course. I started grinning, but caught myself before I started laughing. He never would have understood and would have thought I was making fun of his hat!

Vicki -- I don't think our DQ ever carried those. Must have been regional.... but sounds like something my boys would have liked!

It's our favorite too. Alyssa got a cone with rainbow sprinkles, Nicholas had a brownie blizzard and I had a blueberry blizzard. Usually I get the Hawaiian blizzard but I decided to 'mix it up' today. I'm getting wild and crazy like Paula!
